Yet another "stump"

I have a lot of different campanula in my gardens. They are a multi-tasking "back bone" in many ways because they are tough little and large "boots" . I would find it hard to believe if most gardeners didn't have some form of them in their garden some where !
This "poscharskyana Blue Waterfall" is one of the sweetest little flowers I have .. and tenacious as all get out ! .. there is bare minimum "soil" in this niche of the driftwood that I have planted it in .. and out doing its third year there. It holds on for dear life and blooms its little heart out for me .. even when the rudbeckia competes, trying to get a leg over on it in this little space !
This area gets nice morning sun then light shade in the afternoon .. great for Heuchera, Tiarella, Heucherella .. Meadow Sweet or Filipendula "Elegans" , "Jack Frost Brunera" .. and this little Bleeding Heart .. along with Rudbeckia .. I may even squeeze a few more things in there .. one of my favorite spots in the garden !

Very nice flower bed arrangement. Believe it or not, campanula is hard to grow here. It just doesn't like the heat.

Joy,

I love the little face peeking out from the flowers...looks like he has a green beard. Very nice plant combinations.

Debbie .. wow ! ... what plants do well there ? .. we have heat and humidity in the summer that is intense .. the garden looks strained when that is going on .. but for the most part all the plants take hold and hang in there !

Hi Gail .. yes ! I see what you mean about the green beard .. haha
I did go back to Home Sense and bought the next size down of that tripod obelisk .. I couldn't help myself !

I love your sense of color. Anybody can plant gorgeous flower, but getting foliage to shout out its color is niftier. I can't manage to get Heuchera to grow in my zone 9, so I have heuchera-envy when I see them flourishing in gardens like yours.

weeping sore ( what is the story behind this name !!) .. I love your humour with that last post you did .. I really laughed ! Thanks !
It is amazing to me to hear from gardeners like you that can't grow some of the plants in my zone .. some how I thought the warmer you got the more you could grow .. but alas .. some plants need a bit of punishment with the cold .. and good grief .. they get it here in my world !
I'm pleased to have another gardener envy some of my plants : )
Thanks !
Joy

Hi lintys .. Thank you ! .. I did a bit of tweaking on that later on in the year .. so wondering how it will come to life this year .. it is a great area for morning sun and afternoon shade ..
