Blank Spaces ?

Things look rather sad out front still. The blank spots are for the hosta and ferns that haven't come out of hiding yet. The Dutchman's Pipe vine was wonderful last year with its huge heart shaped leaves. So I am hoping for the same or even better display this year. The viburnum (misplaced the tag .. oops !) has pretty white "lacecap" type flowers something tolook forward to ! I didn't want to cover the windows up with plants. The girls love to look out and keep an eye on things for me there : )

Sad? Looks wonderful to me. Isn't that the whole point of getting plants with a variety of leaf colors? So when they aren't blooming, they still add a lovely sparkle to the garden? My plants are still SO tiny compared to yours.

Joy, I love the colors of the plants, and I really love the shape of that bed. Did you put it in yourself? It's NICE.

Hi Cinj .. it does look great when all of the plants are up and waving at me .. haha. That is what it is like in Ontario .. well Kingston really .. once we get going after that crappy winter .. we RUN with it ? haha

Wait Joy, is that some lawn that I see? Some of my Hosta are all unfurled and others are barely peeking out of the ground. Another week or two though and they'll all be up.

Hi Jared .. we hired a local company to do the bricking .. and we let one of the young guys design it .. I knew how far I wanted it to go to engulf the maple tree, but he did the wonderful curving affect .. customized ! and we love it : )
