Exhausted .. Sunburnt ... OUCH !

I'm falling behind in everything .. reading the great posts of other people .. my own posts .. I tried to do so much too quickly and too concentrated in a couple of days.
Talk about the "old aching lady syndrome" !!! .. in the mean time this is what we are waiting to see .. Goldfinches .. this shot was taken April 28th last year .. hope they may be a little earlier this year : )
So it may be a few days before I can get on the ball with posting .. reading and having fun until the aching calms down ! ... "wait up for me you guys !!! haha

Hello,

I am back in town and ready to see my friends! How is all with you? The Goldfinches are a delight...they love my garden when the coneflowers go to seed!

Joy, I know exactly how you feel. I don't have time to work in the garden, post a blog, take photos, eat food (well, that I seem to find time for), do laundry, vacuum, read other blogs, leave messages, food shop and answer the comments on my blog. I feel like I'm going crazy!

I've found that I totally resent any photo calls, I should tell people that they have a 5 minute limit and that's it. My poor daughter and mom want to talk for 45 minutes each and on Friday I thought I was going to pull my hair out after 2 hours of phone calls.

I think we're all in the same boat. I have been reading blogs at night but not leaving many comments. Not enough time. But it's a lot better than sitting here because it's snowing out and there's nothing else to do :)

Yep, those little fellas are here in full regalia and brightening my days. They'll be up your way soon!!!

"ben" .. this weather is too nice for too long .. it has me worried about another surprise hail or snow storm .. hope the Goldfinches will still come and stay if that happens !

Jane Marie ? snowing ???? really ? oh no ! .. I just saw the forsythia puzzel piece you did .. wow ! not good for my muddled brain right now but VERY creative girl ! LOL ..
It seems we all have so much to do and so little assigned time for each thing .. I'm still trying to recover from the weekend activity. Too sore and tired ... sigh !

melanie .. I can just see you tapping your toe watching the clock with the phone calls .. that would be me for sure .. I'm just too tired today to get out in the garden or do anything .. need one day off to rest and then at it again .. weren't we complaining about waiting for this time to start ? LOL

Hi Gail .. hope all is well with your mom. Yes ! they love all my coneflowers and trees .. shrubs .. lots of things they seem to enjoy ! I am happy to be appreciated !! LOL

Gail .. I'm sorry .. I posted this before seeing your post about your mom. I can't seem to be able to get in and adjust mine.

Love the goldfinches! I had about eight of them eating and carrying on outside the kitchen window yesterday. Creating quite a racket, truth to tell. There is SO MUCH YELLOW these days!

Hello, you're right .. not enough time for everything. For me blogging is the last of my priorities. Though I enjoy it a lot my tiny amount of free time is first of all for my family, cat and garden - then blogging. Sometimes we have to take time out. I have limited myself to blogging once a week. Daily blogging is just not possible. Don't feel guilty. Take care, Andrea

I'll put up my aches and pains against your's anyday. But I'm with ya never enough time so you end up overdoing some things while others get neglected.

My sapsuckers have returned. All day long I'm reminded "You've Got Mail" by an amorous male.

(my Astilbes are starting to sprout)

Hi Andrea .. how true is that ! We tend to stretch ourselves a little thin at times .. your garden is looking gorgeous, and all those new plants to snuggle in .. I have to go for a stroll around the garden centers this week for sure !

Hi Jared .. yup .. lots of yellow every where this time of year .. now if those Goldfinches would just turn up soon ? LOL

Wiseacre .. left you a message admiring your sapsucker photos .. that tapping must drive their ladies wild ? but the mailbox thing .. now that is what I call a musical "reach' for a tone deaf male .. haha
Astilbe challenge still noted sir !

I can completely identify! I have been super busy and I haven't had time to comment the way I usually like to. Last week it was working and this week I'm seeing grass and trying to prune bushes and stuff. (or should I say today?) Plus there's the basement finishing which seems to be never ending. I guess that's what I get for being a DIY'er!

This is a very busy time of year! It's all I can do to get photos taken of the Spring Excitement and just plain post 'em! :-) Hang in there.

Goldfinches are year round visitors in our garden. I love the bright yellow of the males in summer. My arms were itchy all day yesterday ... too much sun.
