Nan Ondra got it !

Nan ! you got the mystery plant .. Phlox subulata 'Laurel Beth' Mountain Pinks
Wow .. as soon as I read it I remembered .. can you come over here and help me with a few others ? LOL
Melanie .. I was leaning to your idea of sedum .. since I love all sorts .. but it was like a light went on as soon as I saw the picture and read the description .. I planted it near my moss phlox for comparison .. the DUH ! factor is CURED !
Thanks for the help guys : )

joy, that is a cutie pie plant...and isn't it wonderful that we have a big community of plant lovers to help us when we get stumped!

How are the girls? Do they get to go into the garden with you? My kitty stares out the window/door and meows when he sees me!

Yeah, no surprise than Nan nailed it. She's too modest to claim the title, but if anybody can claim to be a true plant guru, that would be Nan!

The "mystery plant" game is fun for all, I think. You post the pics, Joy, and we can all have a try!

I'm glad someone has identified your mystery plant. I have several of those myself; in fact, you just solved one for me! I've been looking at this plant trying to remember if something was supposed to be there or if it was a weed. It's a dianthus! Thanks for helping me out.

Joy, I'm glad Nan got it. I went through that whole darn Sedum site and couldn't find it but I was too tired to tell you.

Today looks like we'll get some garden work done, it's cooler but not raining yet.

Rose .. isn't it funny how we go through that ..I'm looking at some foliage in places now that I am not sure of either .. the kind when you have to wait longer to see what developes ? jeez ! haha
