No pictures .. but WOW !

Well ... finally today I have been actually working in the garden ... cleaning up the "mess" and it has been intoxicating ! .. I had a guest robin follow me like a fan .. waiting to inspect a patch that has been disturbed yet tidy ? .. something about the promise of a few bugs perhaps ?
What was wonderful .. besides not being up to my "blank" in snow .. actually touching some very surprising GREENERY ! .. the scent was absolutely amazing .. catmint, yarrow, lavenders, sage, savory .. so much laying under leaf litter and dead heads .. was last year as exciting as this year ? .. or has it been such a long hard cold WINTER .... I think that might be the problem .. I forgot !
In any case .. pictures to follow .. when I have enough brain cells functioning to take them .. otherwise .. hum ... I'll be laying in the middle of what ever scents I can muster up again .. let the neighbors shake their heads .. I don't care .. I need to commune with my garden .. and maybe that hot robin who has been chasing me ?

Sounds like your day was much more productive (and fun) than mine. Of course it would be easy to beat getting stuck in the driveway for something fun but.... Anything in the garden is fun anyway. I can't wait until that's me in the garden!

Evidently, your robin has a distant cousin in New England, with the same propensities... my mom's had robin following her around for many seasons, literally gobbling up worms and insects, as fast as she cleans and weeds the gardens. He may be opportunistic, but sure is a smartie! He even stays close, while she talks to him.

Your spring garden scents must be tantalizing. Even the warming soil smells good, right now!... Deb
