April to May Another shot !

The sun bed along this side fence is really going to pop .. I have planted loads of coneflowers .. the false sunflower patch shoots up like crazy, the vines put on a show .. the butterfly shrubs go mad .. it is a riot of growth and colour if all goes well !

Gorgeous! You have your own little piece of paradise right in your backyard.

I received your email this morning; no problem about the plant identification (Janet Craig Compacta). I don't know all the plants, but there are a few - particularly the more common ones - that I'm quite familiar with.

I have recently discovered your website and am enjoying your posts, humour, snowy pics, cats, plants, garden and everything else in-between. I found your blog on blotanical when I purposely searched for blogs in the Kingston area and intend on visiting regularly.

My husband and I have been a few times to Kingston and absolutely adore it. In fact, we have fallen so in love with your area that we should be relocating to it next summer - 2009 - with my two daughters. Kingston is exactly what the 'hate-the-stress-and-fast-pace-of-big-city-craziness' folks like us are looking for; a small city that offers all the big-city conveniences with small town hospitality. I am really looking forward to slowing down the pace and living in an area with a much smaller population!

Hope you're having a great day (and much better weather!). Ours is just plain blah...

Hi again .. yes, Kingston is still in the smallish city catagory .. There have been building booms here and there .. and some day I think we will be reaching Toronto via that express .. but there is enough beautiful country side for a comfort zone and not too much of the nastiness that follows a big city with how people behave. I grew up in my teen years in Ottawa .. so ending up here in Kingston finally, was sort of natural (albeit by way of my husband being in the military).
I'm sure you will enjoy the change of pace here .. I appreciate a very quiet life, yet with more advantages gaining here all of the time it gets nicer and nicer ! : )
