Jack and Friends

Yet again I go fishing for that title to draw the curious in ? I'm just bad today. I have to share how gorgeous Jack Frost Brunnera is this Spring .. along with Pink Skyrocket Tiarella whose flowers haven't even opened yet .. they are amazing while still closed, to me. I have Silver Scrolls Heuchera close at hand as well .. it was my first "head over heels in love" heuchera .. I added Geisha's Fan to the other side because it had the same marbling affect on the leaves .. they are beautiful in this light shaded area in the afternoon. I think if hard pressed .. and I had to make a choice .. a shade garden would win me over very easily (but would that be because of my HOT flashes ? or "flushes" as the Brits call it ?) .. haha

I love 'Jack Frost'. Your vignette of 'Jack Frost' with the Heuchera, Tiarella and driftwood under the tree in the shade looks fabulous. What a pretty corner you've made.

Hi Northern Shade .. I love your Squills and fiddle heads .. I have a few around too : )
That shot of the lounge chair with snow is great .. makes me smile ..
I love woodland settings .. I crave privacy and the woods and I try hard to have something of it in my gardens .. BIG sigh ! LOL

Hello Shawn ? .. just saw some of your pictures .. very eye catching .. the type of photography I would like to "catch" too ! Thanks !

This has really inspired me. I'll have to come back and look this up next year when I get my back shade gardens all mulched up. I should get a lot of good fall leaf mulch to get it cooking up good over the winter. I love these blue blooms.

Anna .. these blue flowers almost make up for the fact that I can't seem to keep the Blue Himalayan Poppy growing in my garden .. this blue is almost better !
I wish I had room to make my own compost .. but literally every inch is gold to me for planting a different perennial I don't have yet ?
I'm sure your gardens at the new house are going to be spectacular !
