Jack Frost with bells On !

I fell in love with Jack Frost the minute I saw him on a plant site. I can't even remember what the site was .. all I knew was that I had to HAVE him ! .. I found him last year and was absolutely amazed with how well it tolerated the dry shade .. bugs didn't want to bother it either for the most part .. and that foliage ! wow .. that was the main drawing card for me .. it is only this year that I actually get to see what the flowers are like. The is another cultivar called "Looking Glass" . but some how Jack has stolen my heart completely : )

Joy, Jack Frost is my favorite too. It really grows well and I even divided it last year. Each piece should bloom this year.

I agree that Jack Frost is a beautiful plant. Mine is blooming, now. It's only 2 years old. However the "regular" Heartleaf Brunnera is putting on quite a show over here! :-)

A real eye-catcher Joy. Thanks for sharing such lovely photos. I thought the ordinary Brunnera was magnificent (this being the first year I have ever come across one in the nursery - I was like 'What's this intriguing plant with forget-me-not flowers'' lol) but Jack has put a spell on me now. What an attractive foliage and so intricately detailed. Unique.

Hi Violet .. these pictures actually aren't showing how gorgeous this brunnera really is yet. Later on you see much more detail as the leaves get larger .. now you have to have one too ! LOL

Nancy .. that made me laugh .. I guess you could think that and it might have been true .. hope we are done with that kind of "frost" for sure !

Hi shady .. I think all of the brunnera are quite pretty .. but you know how it is when one really stands out in your mind .. love story ? LOL

melanie .. it really is one beautiful yet tough as boots plant : ) I will divide in a couple of years and will have space hopefully, by then, to plant lots of its babies !

Jack Frost is a beauty. I knew I shoulda gotten it last year. I wasn't sure how a brunnera would do in dry shade - I thought they needed more moisture. I like my new Looking Glass brunnera, and divided into two clumps. But I still must have Jack Frost. They remind me of those white/green caladiums, only even better since they're hardy and they bloom.

I've just bought one - been after it for quite a while and there it was at my last workshop at the local nursery. Fate or what?

They are gorgeous .. mine has been flowering for a while now .. that blue is an amazing BLUE against the silver and green of the foliage .. that was fate for you to get it just at that time ! LOL
