Loopy for Lilacs

Syringa vulgaris Sensation is the name to this pretty Lilac. I love lilacs and have 'Madame Lemoine'
I do have to admit the sensation one is an eye catcher when it comes to first impressions .. but they all smell wonderful and I can't imagine a garden without at least one ?

I love the sensation lilac too. I am glad I never got rid of all of those suckers in my old yard, I really want to get some of them for my new yard.

Ooooh, this is so exciting! I planted Sensation last year and it's actually going to bloom for me. After seeing these photos I just can't wait!

Amy ... aren't they remarkable ? I love the bicolour look to them .. something a little different eh ?

Cinj .. this one hasn't been a sucker problem for me .. but my white one makes up for it ? haha
It is nice to have lilacs in my garden .. but Kingston has loads of them every where too

All lilacs are sensational. I haven't gone one spring without smelling a lilac. It's a requirement for my survival.

Neza . we need our lilac fix here too. Our Mountain Ash has very stinky flowers (smell like bad fish ?) so I have to have a lilac close by to smother that smell !

How long have you had it? Ours is 13 years old. My sensations are the only ones I've had suckers on. That's okay though, I could never have too many! I have given away many to my friends who are fully aware of the sucker situation.

Cinj .. I think it is only about 6 years old .. Madame Lemoin produces more suckers .. for some reason. You have been generous with yours !
