White and Green of the Garden

The driftwood might be pushing it .. but there is Lamium - Beacon Silver trying to hold up the white light at that end as well.
Yes .. this is a bit of a gray area with this Artemisia .. but look how lovely it is contrasted with Black Lace Sambucus

Bunchberry flowers at last ! .. not many .. but two will do for now ?

No words needed for the anemone ... ahhhh ! perfection !

OK .. I'm pushing the envelope with the white beads on my face .. but the white rocks in the background help support the issue ?

I can't imagine not having a Solomon's Seal .. especially the variegated one .. those bells are perfect earrings to show off with in the shade.

Heliopsis helianthoides 'Lorraine Sunshine' looks very strange when it first comes up. Talk about a bit of wow for a false sunflower in the garden .. yup, that is her alright !
I have usually never forgotten what I planted .. OK .. sometimes ?.. but this white fern leaf bleeding heart has surprised me here .. the out of focus saxifrage's white flowers seem perfect that way.

Wonderful whites. They look so crisp and lovely. It reminds me a bit much of snow though so I tend to avoid it in plants I'm picking out to plant in my garden. I guess if they are already growing in my yard I won't kick them out though!

I may have to get a white bleeding heart though, they're so lovely!

I love this color combination...your garden looks wonderful. I think the driftwood counts for white, I use my rocks as a counterpoint to green!

Thanks Gail .. it is finally filling in .. this May has been really cool and that helps them put on the show ? haha

Cinj .. this one is very young .. I thought about getting the white in the old fashioned Bleeding Heart actually too. I understand your thing about the snow bit .. I'm on the border with that thought too ! haha

That white looks classy. It jumps out at ya. I went and looked at a bunch of heuchera but couldn't force myself to pay the price they were asking. Then maybe it was my mood too. Sometimes I'm in the mood to buy it all and sometimes I can't find nothing I want.

Hi Anna .. I know what you mean .. you really have to be in the mood to go plant hunting .. the garden centers are really slowing down with not much to pick from now .. hard to believe when we haven't even gotten into June yet .. but then again .. market follows demand .. we go nuts in the beginning .. then poop out ? LOL
