Frilly Girl "Filipendula purpurea 'Elegans'

I keep coming back to this spot where "Jack" lives. BUT ... Jack is not the only party going on here now. lots of plants have decided to join the 'show and tell" stage and one that shares it well is my frilly Filipendula with her tight little jewels coming out and getting ready to unfold to their beautiful flower head. As she does .. her friend and neighbor Casa Blanca lily is getting ready to show off her enormous white flower. I think the girls will put Jack in his place for a little while ?

I sure do enjoy filipendula. I've three cultivars, or is it four now.... One is a golden-leaved variety I just got.

Oh I love your setting. Is that a piece of wood with a plant poking out? That is totally awesome!!!!! I am still looking for a ghost fern when I go garden center shopping(-: No luck so far)-: Might have to order it online. (-:

Hey Cindee ! .. yup .. it is a great shape for driftwood .. and perfect to plant a shallow root perennial in ... so another campanulais great in there .. or 'Hens & Chicks" would work well too. Ghost fern .. I haven't seen any this year yet either here .. might be one of those years ?

Benjamin .. take pictures of the gold one for sure ? .. I would love to see how it looks .. there can be so many different cultivars it is amazing what breeders can do !

Thanks Brenda .. it is becoming VERY full now that it is maturing .. the plant squeeze ! yikes : )

I think Jack is about to be pushed off the stage by some new performers:) Enjoyed all your views of your garden--I think this is the first time I've seen these views. I'm impressed! You have so much growing here and very artfully arranged. My flowerbeds look very wild in comparison.

Your garden spots are lovely. Jack looks quite at home with all those girls. Good mix of colors and textures.

Rose .. you have a beautiful garden .. and I want to be "wild" too .. but this is a small area to work in so I have to get the whip and chair out a lot with these guys : ) .. I am all for WILD when it comes to gardening too ! haha
