Gloriosa Daisies

I have to say I would miss my Gloriosa Daisies if I went a year without them in the garden. They are such an intense Autumnal ? colour I can't do without them now. I have my regular perennial Black Eyed Susan's (who doesn't have them in their garden ?) .. they are staples .. my garden wouldn't be right without those and the varieties of cone flowers I have collected, and managed to forget what some of them are .. good grief !!!

I can certainly see why you adore them. They are magnificent. Especially among the other cone flowers. I have a few varieties, and yet I only remember the name of one! Ha! They are beautiful with or without a name :)

We love gloriosa daisies, too, Joy, especially the biennials with their red and mahogany mixing with the gold. Here in PA, we have lots of the cheerful little native Rudbeckia triloba, which self-sows and is delightful. The finches love it, too!

'ben" they are flowers I really look forward to seeing .. I love echinacea but these types draw me in constantly with such pretty and intense colours .. I love them : )

Laura you are so right .. it doesn't matter to them if we remember what their names are .. they are just as beautiful no matter what we call them : )
I love your header picture to your blog .. gorgeous !!

You have such beautiful photos. I don't see them getting bad as you say. I think your blog is one of the best. Glad the varmit ordeal is behind you. Brambleberries In The Rain is having a lot of trouble with them. I can't believe the damage they do.
