Hey has anyone else grown a 'dill tree" before ? .. it has purple sage for feet .. sadly I had to chop some of it down to start the aging/drying out thing to jar herbs .. but wow .. it was a heck of a dill tree !

That's one healthy dill plant! I love dill with cooked carrots and a little butter. Mmmmm.

Amy ... there is nothing like the smell of dill .. or rosemary ... and so on. I was amazed this got so big myself ... good drainage ? LOL .. I dry and jar as many of my herbs possible .. Xmas gifts .. yes, thinking of that already ! haha

Yes I sowed those too - but they are not as big as yours yet - I love the fragrance of the dill flowers!

No, but I sure need to start drying herbs. All that's drying them now are the sun. I've never tried dill, I don't think. I get real lazy when it's hot...

Nice tree. Mine is about 4' tall this year. Usually it only gets to 3'. And the flower are 8" wide. Such a nice year for dill. I need more cucumbers.

Gail this is the first time I have done it in a pot .. usually just in the garden some where .. so I don't know if it made a big difference or what happened !

Daphne .. glad to hear from another 'big" dill person : )
I am surprised by how well it has done this year though.

Cindee .. it doesn't usually take on such large dimensions .. but wow ! I'm loving it : )

Brenda .. I get bone tired from the heat when it is pulsing here too .. I just run and do some things when it isn't burning me up and I have a tiny bit of energy to do things with ? LOL

Hello Niels .. I adore the fragrance of dill too .. most herbs have a scent that just calms us and leaves us in a good mood ? LOL

what a great way to grow dill ... and yes, I can see that it can behave like a tree. My dill didn't germinate this year and I really, really miss it. I remember how my mom used to (me too) squeeze it between her fingers just to smell it.

WiseA** .. I think I can rustle up a big enough jar if you really mean it ! LOL

Katarina .. this is my first dill tree .. I am totally impressed with it too ! LOL ... I have some pretty huge fennel in the garden as well .. must be a good year ?
