Sunflowers after the rain ....
I'm going to say that famous saying we all utter eventually ? .. these aren't great pictures .. it was an overcast yet almost too bright morning after loads of rain. I couldn't help but take pictures of these guys though .. the rain drops were pretty on them even though the sunflowers were not at their best for a photo shoot ? .. I heard them complain after snapping a few .. they must be all girl sunflowers ? LOL

My favorite(-: I wish mine had done as well this year. The grasshoppers ate them and the heat finished them off. Maybe next year will be a better year(-:
Cindee these are very skinny frail looking sunflowers actually .. I don't have room in the full sun areas any more .. so I am probably going to give them up next year .. I understand you must have been so discouraged .. crappy year for you with the grasshoppers and heat. Next year will be better !!
