(Veronicastrum virginicum) aka 'baby" culvers root !

I think I should call this the 'baby' plant section. I have "Baby Swan" echinacea .. "Petite Delight" Monarda .. and this baby sized veronicastrum plant stretching up as far as it can .. everybody has thrown off clones ? from last year .. the monarda really surprised me though .. so many little ones jumped up .. it is supposed to be one of the better cultivars to fight off that dread powdery mildew business that I hate. The Blue Fescue is holding its own by the dreaded Niger seed pile .. I am very grateful this seed doesn't seem to sprout when dropped by the bucket full here with our Goldfinches .. that is a huge PHEW !
