Morning Sky

A few mornings ago I was mesmerized by the light creeping into the morning sky .. getting up at 6 AM has its advantages in witnessing some amazing clouds and light values. My horizon line will always be my neighbor's trees so their outline is a steady factor I count on to compare my shots with. Yes .. I would love to have a water horizon line .. thinking how the light would reflect back .. but alas .. I have to wait for that lottery ticket to win big before a change of scene with my morning shots happen .. All in all .. it could always be worse ..
So I am grateful for what I do have .. instead of what I don't have ! : )

What a beautiful colour sequence for an early riser. Almost enough to wake you up without a cup of coffee. The trees make a nice frame to either side.
My family has a cottage on the east side of Lake Huron, although I don't get there as often anymore. I love the sunsets over the lake.

Nancy .. I have to say, even though I would love more privacy .. at least I don't have buildings blocking the sky .. so yes .. I am lucky !

Hi Northern Shade .. I am such a fan of sunsets .. that is when the golden reddish shades close in and the deep indigo blue of the night sky envelopes those lighter shades .. you must have seen some beauties there !

Gorgeous photos! You don't need a lake to complete the picture--this horizon is beautiful as is. And it might be just enough to make me get up at 6 AM, too!

Hello there Rose ! ... yes, I know .. I'm being greedy looking for a water horizon .. we are all Blue Nose Canadians .. from Nova Scotia .. even though we haven't been able to go back in a very long time .. sea salt in the blood has a yearning for water ? LOL

Wow, Joy, how gorgeous! Seems like it's not getting light down here until 6:30 or so---bummer! But our sunsets have been fantastic.

'ben" I would love a nice view of the sunsets here .. but too many houses in that direction .. the sunrises aren't too bad, but YES ! I can notice the light is changing with the times .. I'm listening to the crickets right now : )
