How can I dump these guys when they look so good still ? .. I want to move on to Autumn .. there is my big "pot o' mums" waiting on the step, tapping its' toes .. and yet Kong Coleous looks so darn beautiful .. BIG sigh ...maybe I can work on my witche's broom .. string a few more Halloween lights on it ..

I have been saving plants for winter by hanging them in my cellar windows. Yours are really big, but coleus is pretty tough.

A beautiful entrance you have!
My purple sage got chewed up this year, and that has never happened before.

Sandy .. what on earth chewed up your purple sage I wonder ? .. I haven't had that happen so far .. must be one tough bug to do it! LOL
Thank you .. I enjoy decorating the "front step" but now I'm waiting to do the Autumn thing .. I can't rush the leaving of this coleus quite yet .. more time for more ideas ? haha

The Coleus looks absolutely gorgeous. Is that Creeping Jenny in the same container? What else is in the container? I love the arrangement.

Why not move them to another spot outside while you add your autumn/halloween decorations. Before it gets too cold you could move them inside. If you don't like either of those suggestions, why not drive down to my house and I'll look after them :)

Crafty ... you little devil you ! .. hubby is making me hang on to them as well .. with one good hit of frost it would be over .. quickly, no pain ?

Patsi .. what a problem eh ? LOL

Hi Louise .. Thanks ! Yup ! you got it .. gold creeping jeanny which I just dig up from my own garden (I use it as a living mulch in some places) and in the middle you can hardly see the purple spike grass ?

Coleus roots quite nicely in a vase of water. It will look pretty ratty at the end of the winter, but with a good potting soil and a wee bit of Miracle Grow, it perks right up again.

Hi Giddy .. I almost thought of trying it out as a house plant .. but this is "King" coleus and I think I would have to dedicate a whole ROOM to house this baby ! LOL
Now if only the lottery would kick in and I could have a garden room .. all season room ?
