In Between a "leaf"

This single dark leaf from our Crimson King Maple looks as if it fell on purpose just in this position. Marmalade Heuchera and Walker's Low Nepeta seem so comfortable sharing close quarters that they are willing to put up with a lonesome little leaf needing a place to rest .. bridging the gap !

What a great combination of foliage colors. That leaf does seem to bridge the gap.

Hi Wurzerl .. yes, the change of season is even more obvious to gardeners when we see it happening in our own back yard : )

Hi PGL .. it couldn't have been more perfect .. I caught it just in time ! ; )

Fantastic leaf color! How are you doing up there? We are still thirsting for rain.

Hi Gail ... we could use a good watering here too now. I guess you never saw any weather from Gustav then ? .. that leaf was positioned just right for me ! : )

That is so clever. I like the unexpected moments like this. It's fun and makes you look more closely for something else you might have missed. It's why I keep my batter charged on the camera.
