I Finally Have PROOF !!! .....

This is solid indisputable PROOF ! .. Study potted plant ( black sweet potato vine ) to the left of gargoyle ... or is that his right ?
Gargoyles with "wind" aka "gas" ... are capable of killing plants when in some what close proximity of said "gas leak" ...
If you have had plants that have mysteriously "died" ... please check for gargoyles in your garden .. help me build a stronger case on this theory !!!

You are just too funny Joy, lol. I will keep an eye out for mysteriously dying plants though. Thanks for the heads up about the gargoyles...

That is one decoration I don't have in my yard: a gargoyle! Don't know why!

Hi! I just found your blog and love it.... I will have to add you to my blog roll as I see we're kindred spirits... you have such a beautiful garden; I'm a gardener and a nature lover myself... is that photo you have as a blog banner part of your garden??? Is just lovely....

So nice meeting you

cielo

LOL could it be that the potato vine was getting cold?(-: You could blame it on the Gargoyle though if you want to(-:

Cindee (ssshhhh !) .. we may know that, but WG (weather gargoyle) doesn't .. so this is the scenario I'm building on .. gardgoyle gas could be an alternative fuel source !!!!!

Debbie .. never drink anything while reading gargoyle posts .. it is just too dangerous girl ! There could be a gas leak through your monitor too !! Yikes !!

Hello Cielo .. thanks for stopping by my blog ! Yours is perfectly girlie and I'm really amazed by all the beautiful roses on everything .. perfect hide away from the world ! : )

Brenda ... have you been drinking again girl ? LOL .. I just had to tell Aunt Debbie NOT to while on my blog .. that spitting on the monitor thing almost happened with her .. construction 101 eh ? wink wink .. and there is no reason why you can't have at least one gargoyle in your garden girl !

PG .. I am basing this on scientific data ! You no longer have to feel responsible for plants that bite the dust girl .. it is all the gargoyles fault !!

Hi Tyra .. getting colder up at your end of the north ?? : )

:-D

So that's the reason!!!

Ok, never mind! I just love my Gargoyles!
We have to leave with it!

(I just never put my favorite plants near them again)

Hmmmmmmm, is it the gargoyle or do you perhaps have an under-gardener? :-D

Good morning Joy, you crack me up!

Maybe I need to get myself a garden gargoyle to blame for all the plants I kill!

CanadianGardenJoy said...

garden girl .. if you have had plants go POOF ! .. there is a gargoyle hiding in your garden .. next step is to set a trap !!

Hello Yolanda .. that is the secret code name for gargoyle (under-gardener !!)

Hi Gail .. another weekend seems to come so fast now .. where does the time fly ? Halloween is almost HERE !

Greenman .. Now that is a very wise precaution .. make sure the gargoyles stay away from your favorite plants (put up a gargoyle fence !!)

Joy, I think you have incontrovertible (or whatever that word is) evidence that the gargoyle has killed the sweet potato vine--just look at the guilt written all over his face!

Enjoyed seeing the "girls" at play. Unfortunately, I don't have any thyme nor enough time to plant all the bulbs I bought either:)

CanadianGardenJoy said...

Rose .. you saw that guilty look too !! .. and .. I'm so glad to hear some one else say they haven't gotten all their Spring bulbs in yet either .. I was supposed to today .. but that whizzed by again .. BIG sigh ! LOL

Nancy .. I'm considering that name for him too ! : )

Hello there IGW .. that is what made me have to have him actually .. the expression on his face .. I can blame lots of things on him ! haha

Advice from a Yankee gardener in MA... It occurs to me, where Boston baked beans are common fare of a Saturday night, that gargoyles must never, ever, be invited to Saturday night supper.

And why, might one ask, is he attempting to cover up his nose? More proof for your theory, perhaps?
I'm just saying..... Deb

CanadianGardenJoy said...

Deb .. we love Boston Baked Beans here girl ! ... and it is a "no holes barred" run for your life game show in this house when that kicks in .. the gargoyle (WG is his name ... "weather gargoyle"is his game !) .. never gets any beans .. as opposed to Dave .. he is a British namesake gnome, so he has a right to BEANS ! haha
My theory is spot on I would say .... eh ?

Anonymous said...

Well, if Dave chats with WG and tells him how good beans taste, that may change. I can hear Dave now, using that British phrase on WG this Saturday, "Off you go, then!" Eh?

PS: I can legally use the term "eh" as I am 50% French Canadian (my Dad's family)... in addition to Scottish (MacClean), English and Dutch.

CanadianGardenJoy said...

Deb .. I have even heard Dave say "Bollocks" a few times .. and probably right now too ... since it is snowing .. JEEZ !

Ah ! .. I'm glad you told me about the Canadian side .. eh ! .. other wise the "EH!" officers might come round to your place ! .. I have Scottish and Dutch too .. good choice ! haha

Egads, Madame - SNOW? Keep it up there, eh? Poor Dave & WG!

About that ancestral mix - cool! Quite a coincidence, eh? I find it a bit difficult to do the Scottish saber dance, whilst wearing meine wooden Dutch shoes and eating tourtiere (pork pie my Memere used to make) or Yorkshire pudding (that my Mom made with roast beef).

If I actually did have a choice, that might have been it. Alternatively - 100% Scottish, living in Scotland, in the highlands, or on the Outer Hebrides. (I can dream, right?)

Goedenavond, Joy!

CanadianGardenJoy said...

Deb .. the snow has stayed .. it is ON the GROUND this morning .. YIKES ! .. they say it will leave (probably against its own will .. muttering "I'll BE BACK" like the Terminator.

Now I have a picture in my mind of all that dancing in a kilt with wooden shoes eating meat pie and pudding at the same time .. I'm exhausted just thinking about it all !
I have a friend who lives in Falkirk Scotland .. she helped me connect with one of my own distant relatives that was tracing our ancestory .. the Glencross clan arrived in Canada .. Nova Scotia specifically of course .. in the mid 1700's .. I never knew THAT ! they stayed in the same county for hundreds of years literally .. Guysborough County .. strange eh ? LOL
