If Only .............

Today is a nap day .. dark, cloudy .. raining .. so no chores done in the garden. The house how ever complained about the lack of attention .. so out comes the clean team .. nope .. not the "girls" .. hubby and I take turns abusing the vacuum with naughty words when it isn't working right .. you know vacuums .. they have a life of their own and don't like to be bothered ..
In any case .. the girls looked so comfortable I had to take their pictures .. and envy their napping abilities ? .. why is it when you have time for a nap .. the nappiness doesn't happen. Then when you are stressed or rushed off your feet you could lay down on the floor and saw logs and of course you can't because you have NO time for THAT ..
The human dilemma of the secret world of naps .. no logic to it at all.
Sophie is really keeping a watch out for anything unusual .. her cat senses are honed to the drop of a pin ... more likely a brick dropping wouldn't bother her !
Emma ... second in command .. although she thinks she is top cat (those teenage cat years are something else) .. totally at ease .. or so she wants us to think so .. she is actually plotting her next episode of "where did my spring go ?" .. and we all know that the cache is under the fridge .. so a battle strategy with dust bunnies, fridge magnets, a few loose noodles that escaped the cook while stirring boiling pots .. it is almost another universe .. under appliances .. I get nervous that I will be sucked into a black hole with two cats looking at me with the "FEED ME" look ... never mind I'm disappearing !
If only ..... I could come back as a cat, to an owner like me ? ... BIG sigh !

Joy, sometimes I don't know who is more off the wall. You or me. Today I think it's me. I just got pumped full of steroids and sent home to take more from the Urgent Care center. Bouncing off the walls. And I'm a jitterbug to start with. Oh Lord. Can't stop cleaning everything. Afraid (armed with the info the doc gave me) I've left poison ivy oil on something I've forgotten to wipe off in the past 8 days and counting. Please come over and help me clean. Or sit on me. Or knock me up side of the head. I couldn't sleep in the daytime if I was rendered comatose.

Good gravy! You are desperate for something to do, cleaning under the fridge. I only do that whenever something liquid spills underneath it that might stink or whenever we move. Oh, wait. The moving usually happens every year or so. Guess the dust doesn't get much of a chance with me. And nap? Isn't that something to do with carpet?

Hi Joy, you have pondered many deep pools of thought here, the meaning of life included. May we all come back as cats with indulgent owners. Ahh, the life. ;-> We will not the speak about the world under the appliances, better to be kept in the dark.

That is the same wish I've had too Joy. To come back as a dog or cat with an indulgent owner like me. :)

Hi Frances .. it has been one of those days here .. I think I am hitting the wall about not being in the garden as much .. and actually stopping for the winter . It is a shock to the system I think .. so it is "much a do about nothing" day ? is happening here with the pondering mission .. I think that is wise .. leaving the "whats under the appliances" universe alone ... ssshhhssss !

W2W .. my goddness girl ! what is with moving so often (unless you are military .. been there !) .. and I had a good laugh over the nap ? and isn't that to do with a carpet thing ? .. it really is the impossible dream when most wanted , right ? LOL .. Dustbunnies can run VERY fast when the vacuum comes close to them .. did you know that ?? ; )

Brenda .. slooooowww down girl .. you made me dizzy just reading that ! .. breath deeply and let out one HUGE scream .. that will help .. I don't know what your neighbors will think, but to heck with that ! .. you need to blow off some of that bounciness from the steroids ..what ever you do .. don't start listening to your heart .. damn .. I should not have even said THAT .. I bet you are listening to it now .. jeez !
I'm coming over ... hang in .. I just know if I tell you my life story , you WILL SLEEP !! ; )

Hi Joy! I actually cleaned under the refrigerator the other day! Like you stuck inside and something rolled under there that had to be retrieved! Don't go under there unless you have to...all manner of dried 'thingies'!

I should have an owner as wonderful as me in my next life...or you!

I always tell my kitties "next life, I get to be the cat, and you guys spoil me!" I don't think they are too worried.

Cindee .. I think we have a "line up" of cat owners who want to come back as our own cats ! LOL

Nola .. I have yet to see a cat who worries about anything girl .. they have a built in "stress extinguisher" ? LOL

oh yes, amen to that. I sure wish I could have a cat again -- reading about and seeing Sophie and Emma makes me long for a cat in my life again. My husband and I often say that if we could come back as a cat, we'd want to come back to a home/owner like us!
