LAPCPADPOUB Day / Inelegant Gardener Instigator

Today is blog about your cats and some dodgy poetry day .. which has been instigated by "The Inelegant Gardener" and encouraged by my scifi mate "VP". This is a bit tricky for me since I am juggling a few things today. Especially "Turkey Day" ..
Canadian Thanksgiving ..Monday is the holiday actually .. but we alsways do it on a Sunday for some reason .. which I'm sure is totally logical .. I just happened to forget what the heck it was !
Emma ... in deep thought ... or taking a nap with her eyes open ?

Sophie TRYING to take a nap .. with me bugging her
The girls fooling around with Sophie building up to the BIG pounce routine.

Sophie showing the world her best asset and on how to look like a raccoon without trying all that hard !

Sophie utilizing her 'devil eyes" to intimidate Emma , who doesn't give a darn

Emma thinking of ways to annoying Sophie ... which isn't hard for her to do at all ?
Finally the two KIDS have a nap and give me a break ?
Turkey in the midst of roasting .. the smells are beyond description ? ahhhh !

And now for some HALLOWEEN POETRY !!!!

THE GHOST OF A FLOWER
"You're what?" asked the common or garden spook Of a stranger at midnight's hour. And the shade replied with a graceful glide, "Why, I'm the ghost of a flower.""The ghost of a flower?" said the old-time spook; "That's a brand-new one on me; I never supposed a flower had a ghost, Though I've seen the shade of a tree."-Anonymous

Thank you for dropping by girl P.S. we all shamelessly plug something or other ! haha

Hi Donna .. the girls have more cat beds per capita than any other household I know .. now how silly is that I ask you ? LOL

Andrea .. I don't know how you are upright and functioning with all that has been going on girl ! You need some down time .. quiet time .. like you were saying on the patio with the lap top with peace and quiet for as long as possible ? LOL

Happy Thanksgiving Joy! It's close to supper time and that turkey looks soooooo delicious...mmm...mmm...

I decided to break the ‘we-always-do-Thanksgiving-the-day-before tradition’ this year and do Thanksgiving on Monday, the actual day. My family was a little confused by this change. They've called twice this week to confirm the day. "Are we supposed to come over on Sunday or Monday? Sunday? Not Sunday? Oh, Monday... Monday, really? Are you sure?" I was a little worried they’d end up showing up today by mistake. So far, so good... LOL...

Hope you're enjoying the day! Do your cats get to eat some turkey? The smell from all that cooking must drive them crazy!

TELL me about it JOY. They would have all been over here tonight if they all didn't have their own dinners to go to! I had them call and try and arrange some breakfast morning brunches and I'm like "no! Next week because we're EXHAUSTED!" LOL. OH! I have some pictures i have to post for you, about locations on where we post. Im sitting on my back patio now..... in the dark, enjoying the night!!!!!!!

Only two cats? Yolanda will be terribly disappointed. I never knew that Canada had a thanksgiving.

Hello there James .. I could be insulted that you didn't know Canada has Thanksgiving ? LOL
... and at the right time of the year I might add ? LOL
Yes .. only two cats .. we can only handle so much excitement in this house and they provide lts of that ? Thanks for stopping by : )

Andrea .. my god ! how could the crowd NOT know you guys need some down time girl ? .. That is just right .. some quiet typing away on your lap top out on the patio in the nice quiet setting .. we are going to have gorgeous weather for some time .. I actually have a long watering mission to accomplish in my garden this week .. after I get the ... ugh ... house cleaned ? LOL
Rest up girl !

Hi WR ! ... that is way too funny : ) that would be a hoot if they showed up on the wrong day.
The weather has been amazing .. I have windows and the deck door open .. it is gorgeous out there .. and the smell of turkey must be driving my neighbors bonkers .. hubby siad when he was out it drove him nuts ? LOL
Hope you have a great Thanksgiving with your family .. and yes .. treats for the kitties today too !
