Your garden looks perfect to me, but I'm sure the new Pinky Winky will fit right in when you get it. It's fun to plan ahead, isn't it?

Your visiting kitty looks like my Spike. And I agree with you about keeping our pets safely inside. Spike was a skinny, hungry stray we took in and he would dearly love to wander outside again, but he is destined to live a long life of warmth, love and comfort here in our home. He can watch the world from all the various windows and sliding glass doors in the house.

Hello Giddy.. it is so nice to have another cat lover agree with me (on here especially) .. there are many that still think (inside the box) that cats should be out and about. They don't really think of all the dangers and sadly sick people that will harm them. Even in the country side you risk other creatures attacking and killing cats .. Thanks for voting in my favor Giddy .. I appreciate it and I'm sure Spike knows he is well loved and cared for ! : )
PS .. I worry about this beautiful cat especially with Halloween coming .. our Humane Society refuses to put black or orange cats/kittens out for adoption during that time .. and that is a wise rule to have.

Joy, H and I volunteer at our local animal shelter and it's so sad to see people dump their kitten litters at the door instead of spaying their pets to avoid this problem. We adopted our other kitty, Sluggo from the shelter as a companion to Spike and if I could, I'd adopt a few more. Our Spike surely would have become coyote lunch if we had not taken him in. Those two are the "joy" in our lives!

Giddy .. I can NOT understand people that use pets as entertainment until it becomes pricey .. it makes me so angry that some people just don't have the responsibility or the mentality to understand these little souls have such feelings for emotions, neglect and pain.
Lucy was our first Humane S. cat .. I still feel sick inside about not knowing her pelvis was broken as a kitten before we got her. She was so shy and insecure even for all the time we had her. Emma is also a Human S. kitten but so full of confidence and curiosity. I think because we got her at an earlier age and she was secure with us .. Lucy not until over 3 months. My heart still aches so badly for our two beautiful Calicos we had to put to sleep, because of illnesses, within 2 years of each other.
I know, you know how deeply that love goes for our little ones.
thank you for sharing your experiences too !
