My Thyme is Still "ticking"

My time is still sticking it out and ticking away even in the "flumpy" weather. TG gargoyle and Toad look a little depressed .. they know the snow drifts will be coming sooner or later so they better enjoy just the flumps for now. The thyme is remarkably green with total neglect .. but then again .. what stops time ?

Joy,

I don't know this world flumpy! You might have to define it for me! Is it Canadian or Joyian! Gail

Like the old Timex watch ad, "Takes a licking and keeps on ticking!" Certainly hardy specimens and I would say this was a thymely post. /Deb

How about visiting the In-Laws?

Your toad pot is so cute. The picture of the sunrise and pink sky turned out so pretty. Have a good Thanksgiving.

Nothing, unfortunately.

Brilliant title, Joy. :) Your thyme looks very healthy - do you use it a lot in cooking, or is this an ornamental? Is my ignorance showing? Hee!

Thanks Nancy .. I have a lot of fun with my thyme .. I do jar some for friends but I like to use it fresh .. freezing it can help keep it more like that .. but hey .. I'm not that good a cook : )

Tina .. I hear a bit of regret in that one liner girl ... hum ?

Joey .. that is great .. and Happy Turkey Day to you girl !!

HHG .. Thanks ! ... We Canadians have Thanksgiving in October though .. it lines up the holidays a little better ! LOL

DEar Mr. WiseA** .. now that made me LAUGH ! You wicked man ! LOL

Deb ... Thanks ! I had that slogan in my mind exactly girl .. I love those old commercials too .. so cheesy but you gotta' love them ! : )

Hi Gail ... It is between fluffy snow and soggy rain .. so a bit fluffy yet lumpy with the rain .. therefore it is "FLUMPY" I thought of it all by myself .. great eh ? Do I have too much time/thyme on my hands girl ??? LOL

Hi Joy, your thyme is a trooper, even in a container, but that probably helps with the drainage. And the good jovial company it keeps. I love the thyme in a snail, let's slow it down if we can't stop it! I wouldn't want to stop it anyway, and mess with the workings of nature, it is as is should be, let us make the most of it!

I know nothing can stop the time but sometimes when I'm entranced by gardening, pulling the weeds, enjoying the lovely scents, the magic of life and humming of bees and other flying 'objects' everywhere around me, I just feel like time has stopped ticking away. Your thyme is wonderful, I'm always surprised how well some plants do even with my evil mischief and great desire to neglect them LOL

Btw wishing you a Happy thanksgiving, to you, the girls and all of your dear ones!

Hello there Violet .. It is actually the "American" Thanksgiving .. we Canadians have it in October .. but thank you all the same girl ! LOL
Yes .. I know exactly what you mean about how it feels in the garden .. there have been those golden times when everything is so alive yet calm and it feels like time has paused some how. I think we are all connected with that feeling as gardeners .. we appreciate life so much .. it is very special and it does renew the soul : )
I think evil mischief is supposed to happen at least once and a while ? LOL

Hi PG .. it is one of the hardiest herbs I have .. keeps on ticking is so "it" with thyme : )

Hi Frances .. I have a smaller nautilus in one of the bathrooms with a, dare I say it ? "fake" vine .. no plant can survive that environment by some quirk ? LOL
Yes .. nature has to play out its role .. some time is fine ! : )
PS .. Halloween is coming in 338 days after all !

I've always loved your array of garden ornaments but that snail herb pot is one that really should be in my garden :-D don't you think?

It's always a treat for me to visit here and see Sophie & Emma. Oh they must bring you such joy. I love how they get along.

Hi Diane .. I agree 100 % that you need one of these snail shell planters .. they are made from a cement type material so they don't blow over when watering has been neglected ? ouch !
The girls .. they are so funny .. every day they do something to make us laugh .. right now they are dozing here with me in the kitchen .. oops , my office I mean ! LOL
Thanks for stopping by Diane : )
