The Benchwarmers and random silliness ....

The Benchwarmers .. what can I say that they haven't and in some very colourful language as well ! Who can blame them .. it was -20 celsius .. -27 with windchill .. rather perky ? : )

The top shot is real life appearance of the distant moon this afternoon .. I'm always so surprised still to see it so early in the day .. even from early morning .. strange isn't it ?
The bottom shot is what the "auto" setting from my photo program "sees" this shot to be .. rather interesting .. dramatic in fact.

The afternoon sun hitting the Karly Rose grass .. so pale and such a good contrast to the obelisk it cloaks .. I like the light values .. and the shade .. it pops the colour of the garden stake's glass.

Why on earth do I do what I do ? .. it is the "Crazy Canuck" in me .. I have to experience the frozen north up close and personal ! ... Yikes !!!

Gorgeous moon shots! And those poor Benchwarmers with snow-covered noses. Brrr! Speaking of which, I'm prone to dashing outside barefoot in cold weather as well, but even I draw the line at snow! You Canadians must be a hardy breed!

That's one pair of Crocs I wouldn't care to slide on! Enjoyed the all the pics... just took about the same moon shot here, this afternoon. Time to get out the boots and bring in the Crocs! We had our first snow yesterday - just a pretty dusting. /Deb

I love those moon shots; they're really gorgeous! Looks like you had the same miserable cold as we did today. We are a hardy breed up here in Canada, as you demonstrate from your nutty tactics...LOL... But we don't have much of a choice anyway. Deal with the cold or perish!

...How many days till spring?...[big sigh]...

After the frost last week got some of my plants, I thought: oh no, what will I take photos of for the blog? I'm so lucky that I still have bloomers out there. But I may not for long. It has been really cool this year here. I don't know what I would do with myself if I only got a few gardening months per year. I got my first catalog today! Seeds Of Change.

I bet your feet are cold too!

Yep, we have Dr Who for the holidays. An episode with 2 of them in fact!

VP .. I am so jealous here ! I don't understand why we have to wait so long to see those episodes .. we won't until summer now .. jeez ! or why we have to be so behind in Corry and Eastenders .. it makes me so mad : (

Hi Martha .. After Xmas I will have to 'days till Spring " banner up so we can all count down to it girl ! haha .. We have had more snow this morning from over night .. not a nice day .. later on mixed with rain .. the weather is really swinging around as per usual ? haha

Deb .. Yes ! I need to bring in my cros .. the moon has been so pretty this month .. but I really have to read my manual to get better pictures ! : )

I suppose there is a reason you are a Canuck, eh? Only Canucks and Northern Michiganders can truly appreciate all that white stuff. Me? I may have lived all my life in Michigan, but I think my parents abducted me from my real family in a warm, tropical climate! Yes, that's it!

Those poor benchwarmers must be freezing their butts off, lol. Great shots of the moon today Joy. And don't you just love the yellowish tan color of grasses in the winter? I do! Oh you might want to thaw out your garden clogs before you wear them again. ;)

Hi PG .. Thanks girl ! .. I have such a fascination with the moon and seeing it like this is great .. can't resist a picture of it.
I guess it is time to bring those poor garden clogs in now ? haha
Yes !! I am a fan of the grass family .. that sounds funny eh ? .. but their seed heads and their stalks are really pretty to see in winter .. and another big yes to the poor Benchwarmers butts ? haha .. FROZEN !! : )

Hi Robin .. Yup a Canuck indeed girl ! Hey you might have a plausible theory there .. I know the northern "Mics" can tolerate the cold .. so maybe there is a secret past to you and why you can't get used to it ?

Of course they are pink! That's so they go with your pink jammie outfit when you run outside to get a good shot of your world! BTW, your world is looking mighty cold today! If it were as cold here today we would have a foot of snow on the ground...instead we are having thunderstorms!

The benchwarmers wouldn't be any happier here!

Hi Nola .. Thank you girl ! .. Today we have had snow mixed with rain and the snow plough has been through here twice .. hubby and a few others have had the snow blower routine in gear as well .. more to come : )

Hi Gail .. I think the Benchwarmers may take issue over the choice of snow or rain .. you might win their approval after all girl ! .. Pink Pink Pink .. ahhh ! it just feels so nice to be in a pink bubble .. then bang reality sets in again .. haha
