P.S. on Tripod and those photos

I took these photos WITHOUT the tripod that night .. but what kicked me in the shins was that I am getting closer to better night time pictures IF only I had the tripod THEN .. so immediately I got the tripod out for the next time, so I will be that much closer to clear night time pictures ... lord ... what I have to make myself DO to get things RIGHT !!

I hear you about the tripod, especially in low light situations. But I hate it, hate lugging it anywhere, so I conveniently "forget" it.

But what a difference it does make.

I need a tripod. I produce too many "shaky" photos.

Hi Joy, I think the photos were lovely even without the tripod, but am excited that yours has been located and moved closer to the outside too. Now you are ready. I suggest some slippers by the door too, wouldn't want those cold tootsies to get frostbite!

Jen .. seeing how close these pictures looked "good" with me holding my breath .. well it made me go get that damn tripod because THAT will make them look even better ! .. I almost gave myself a headache from trying not to move my hands or breath ..phew !

Brenda .. does your camera have an extra button for "shaky hands" ? .. I'm really not kidding .. this Olympus has that .. but the tripod will make it much easier next time !

Thanks Frances .. I have my garden clogs by the deck door but they have been full of snow usually .. bare wood is a bit warmer ? LOL YES !!! tripod is ready now .. heck, I should take a picture of it to remind myself ? haha

I use my tripod most of the time. Did you hear that Olympus has a new camera coming out with 26x zoom? I'm going to check into it.

Hi Joy! I wanted to pop in and say hello. And also to compliment you on the beautiful photos you have been adding to your blog. Amazing shots; some of them should be printed into large sizes, framed and used as home decor. If nothing else, winter is a very scenic month and makes for wonderful pictures. Mind you, receiving a postcard of that scenic view while I’m lying on a beach somewhere warm is something I can handle…LOL…there’s only so much winter with its snow that I need.

Hope you are doing well. I have a half finished email sitting in my mailbox that I’m working on sending to you… Things are getting busy for us. I’ve started packing stuff that we don’t need for our daily use. I’ve finished packing 15 boxes and it seems like I’ve hardly made a dent anywhere…ACK! You don’t realize how much junk you have until it’s time to move it!

Talk to you soon... LOVE YOUR PICS! Martha

Hi Martha .. thank you girl ! .. I want to get better pictures, so the tripod is here ready for action .. I still have to dig out the manual .. and .. I'm thinking of stepping up to the next Olympus with the 26 x optical zoom .. which I'm blaming on Linda (Crafty Gardener).. she let the genie out of the bottle for me ? LOL
I owe e-mail toooooooo !! : )

Those shots are beautiful, tripod or not Joy!

I really need to remember to get that tripod out! Yesterday a cardinal was hanging around here ALL day, in the rain, perched on one of the lights in the garden. I took a bunch of pictures, and promptly deleted them after looking at them this morning - they were all blurry. :(
