A plant ID for Tina (In the Garden)

This is a post for Tina from "In The Garden" .. I am very sure she has a wonderful Toad flax .. these pictures are a few years old, with my first ever digital camera so the fine detail is not the best. But I think it helps confirm that Tina has this plant and it will look beautiful !
Mine is a little slow coming out this year .. but I will take pictures later on when it is smiling at me ?
Hope this helps Tina !

Looks like the same flower she has. The foliage looks like one of my Lilies.
Your flowers around it sure look good and I love your little frog.

That's a lovely plant! I must do some research about growing it here.

Joy, you've confirmed what I've known for a long time--garden bloggers are the best! Can't identify a plant?--ask a garden blogger! Don't know what's eating your plants?--ask a garden blogger!

It's great to be able to see what a mature plant looks like in your photos; I know Tina will be happy to see how hers is going to look. And Mr. G is so funny--somehow I think he's going to fit right in with Dave and the gang:)

If nothing else proves it, Joy, the little guy smiling in front of the plant is total evidence;-) Jan

I like the name Toad Flax! As I mentioned in Tinas post, all toads are welcome in my garden!

That is IT! Exactly the same foliage and like you said, a bit different of a flower. Please tell me this wonderful plant will not take over my garden? I read where the butter and eggs type does and was so worried when I picked this up last year. I tell you I love it. It is so easy and so rewarding. I am surprised it is not more readily available too. Thanks so much for posting about it and identifying it for me. You're the best!

Hello Raingardener ! Thank you : )
These are older pictures .. I changed over to black coloured mulch a year ago .. it sets the plants off much better I find. My little frog has metal flowers that catch the rain .. I have to find them again ! haha

Hi Cameron : )
I don't see it offered very often .. in fact I am searching for another one myself .. let me know how you get on with finding one ?

Rose girl ! yes, yes, yes ! LOL
garden bloggers RULE ! haha
In fact I have a question about a little creature in my garden that I have to ask about today .. will be posting on it soon !
Mista G is doing great .. I think because we are having such nice sunny WARM weather he is acclimating ? slowly but surely .. Dave hardly ever teases him about California .. I think he is more concerned about his cracked mushroom again .. we have to get that big band aid out for him ! LOL

Hey Gail .. we should have a "toad flax" club ? .. this is the only kind I have come across so far .. but there is a nursery about 40 minutes from here that I would like to have a look at .. might find some there ! Do you have a picture of yours to post ?

Jan girl .. talk about getting the point across about a plant eh ? LOL
I thought it was pretty funny when I did that too .. I'm still laughing about it ? haha

Hello there Skeeter ! .. sadly I haven't seen a toad or frog in years actually in my garden .. I really miss having a little life like that .. can I borrow some of yours girl ?? : )

Tina you are more than welcome !
This is the only type of toad flax I have come across .. I haven't heard of the butter & eggs one.
If yours is a shade of pink, blue or violet .. I think it will be fine because mine behaves wonderfully .. it stays exactly where I have put it !
Let me know how things go with it ?

What a pretty plant Joy. The foliage is very similar to my Blue Star Amsonia. :)
