Joy, your garden is so lovely this time of year. Right about now mine is drying out and wilting.

You mean you have had a day with no rain!!! It has rained here almost everyday. It rained 1 1/2 inches this morning early... Everything looks great but I wish we just had a few days we could get into the veg.garden to weed.
Have a great weekend...

Hi Debbie girl : )Thank you so much ! .. We are really having a WET season so far .. it brings out more and more slugs and aphids .. I was there spraying with my home made concoction to try and tell them to take a HIKE ?? LOL

Lynn .. my goodness girl, I have empathy for you from other places I have lived .. Dutch winters are mostly RAIN day after day (no wonder they love to travel !)
That is exactly what you need , at least a day or two that will get you in the garden to do your thing girl !

Hello there Grace ! Fave away girl ! LOL ... I really like your blog too .. wonderful plants and a very nice set up of your blog .. we always seem to be changing things out between the garden and the blog to freshen things up .. I know I have to work on my blog (great time during the winter to play with it and dream of new plants ! : )

Hello the Ewa .. a BIG yes to that ! .. when we hit the rain and warmth after a cold winter and Spring .. it becomes a jungle !! : )

It certainly was a rainy Saturday, which was probably good for the garden. Your garden looks lovely. I've spied the camera in a local camera store. I've also come across a couple of others with similar features, so now I'm contemplating what to do!

Linda ! how did you get in there between comments ??
Thank you girl .. but we need some nice dry, not too hot, sunny days now !
Oh my goodness .. what were the comparable cameras ? .. prices ? .. send me an e-mail or message and I'll explain how I feel about my camera to let you know in your decision making process ?

Hello there Gail girl ! You will not have more rain days ? .. I wish I could share them with you : )
This season has been a wet one .. and for what I can see the "heat" will be coming soon .. and then the garden will leap forward even more .. yikes ! LOL

Cathy .. Thank you so much girl ! : )
I meant to send you a message that I can't get into your blog .. something about windows error .. I wanted to leave comments .. a few other blogs have done the same thing .. but most are fine, so I'm wondering if it is the feed to Blotanical .. I'm going to check on that !

Those clematis are lovely, and the baptisia are what I've been wishing mind would look like (mine are sad and sorry, alas).

What camera do you use?

jodi (bloomingwriter) said...

You have clematis in bloom already? I suppose I should look down in the valley and see if they are blooming down there too. My rhododendrons are just coming on beautifully...along with the rain. Sigh. The peonies and delphinium are next, which guarantee more rain!

GardenJoy4Me said...

Hi Helen and thank you girl !
The clematis is an old one .. maybe 8 yrs going now .. Dr. Rupple I think .. the baptisia is about 6 years old I think .. it just hit the right spot where I stuck it ? haha
Camera is Olympus 55OUZ 18 x optical zoom .. I have a 59OUZ with 26 x optical zoom for sky shots .. I use both of them regularly .. glued to the hip ? lol

Jodi girl .. I remember rainy seasons in NS ... and especially in Louisbourg with FOG .. but as a kid I loved it of course ; )
We are having a wet season here but sun is supposed to prevail this week .. we'll see if the weather people are right ?
I feel for you with needing some sun physically and mentally !

Beautiful photos(-: I am over whelmed with the work this year too! Not because of rain just because I am behind. How can I be behind? I don't know it seems that everyday I work for hours and I still have more to do! Today I unloaded the rocks and set them out to make two new rings around two trees. More flowers! Why did I do that? I don't need more flowers! That is more work! Anyhow I am beat! I need to go back to work to get some rest! LOL(-: NOT!!!!! I will trudge on tomorrow with more work in the garden. It is endless...(-: But...I love it!!!!!!!!! Yay for Summer!!!(-:

Hello there cat .. aren't you sweet ! Thank you : ) there are always other gardens that make us a bit envious over our own .. or ideas that we "borrow" ? LOL

Cindee girl .. husband and I were just talking about Mr. G and how well he has fit in with the boys in the hood : ) haha
Good grief .. I know that routine too well .. being tired and over worked and yet creating more work for some reason .. we are GARDENERS and can't help ourselves ?? LOL

oh wow, I'm in garden envy. The lilacs have just finished and the tulips are finishing up. Soon the peonies will begin to pop open -- nothing else is doing anything much because of the drought. I lost several of my clematis over the winter and the ones that survived are barely choking out of the ground. They likely won't bloom because winter will be here soon. It's a delight to see your clematis and that lovely chartreuse beauty in your garden too.

Hello Diane ! I'm so glad you have dropped by girl : ) Thank you so much for the compliments !
I'm shaking my head over this drought you guys out west are suffering from .. the weather holds us hostage more than ever before I think .. I lost a few favorites over our winter but I have to say we are much luckier than you with pulling our gardens through .. then bang we are bowled over with a ton of work to keep it going ? LOL We can't just have an easy middle road can we ??
