.... and so the madness continues Part II

I bet you are thinking .. when is she ever going to do a decent GARDEN post again ? ..
I promise it will be soon .. I actually got a call from the landscaping company yesterday and they KNOW I am on the "TO DO" list .. that is at least the first step ?
So that will be a "Happy Little Garden Post" !!!
Meanwhile back at the farm ....
As anyone read yesterday, we had a flooring guy come in and replace one of the bathroom floors .. well .. it took him much longer than he thought it would First HINT something was going to go wrong .. right ? .. nothing in this house is EASY.
THEN early evening we noticed the toilet was leaking at the base (I almost blamed my husband for his sense of direction .. oops !) .. Nope .. floor guy didn't get toilet placement right .. I turned the water off to that bad puppy .. husband and I had a frenzied stress CHAT .. which leads to me going to the store first thing in the morning .. I woke up at 4:30 and couldn't go back to sleep ..

Aside from that .. during the "we" inspection of why is this happening .. I went to turn the water back on to the toilet and I almost went through the wall to the kitchen .. the most horrific noise from hell happened .. like every pipe in the house GROANED as if in hard labor and giving birth !
I have never in my life heard anything like THAT !
After" I "finished screaming, in reaction to "THAT".
I took off for the kitchen where the boys were, and they nonchalantly said in calm tones" that was loud .. wasn't it ?" meanwhile I'm trying to pick the cats off the ceiling and looking at the guys like" what planet were you on when that happened ???"

So .. I have been up since 4:30 AM .. worrying about this toilet crises and the fact that my garden babies NEED me .. other than that .. what can I say ?
The only thing that keeps me going of course !
Halloween is COMING : )

Oh my Joy, what a tale! I hate plumbing issues. I am the 'toilet repair person' in the house. ugh, what an honor. I feel for you.

Geez when it rains it pours! I am sorry about all your bathroom troubles! (That sounded like a personal problem but you know what I meant)
I am going to guess there was air in the water pipes when you turned it on that was what made the sound. But I could be wrong(-:
I hate when things go wrong.)-:
I hope you have a better day today!

I don't know what is worse, loud and scary or soft and barely detectable. One day I noticed the faint sound of continued running of the toilet which was not visible. Who knows how long it had been leaking like that. It's fixed now. That's what counts. Good luck with getting things under control and back to normal.

I'm wondering two things...
What's the landscape company for(maybe I forgot)?
and are you gonna kick the tile guy's butt?
What a mess !

Best of luck with all your toilet and whatnot crises! That must have been one scary noise. I would have had trouble sleeping with all that going on, too. Hope you are back to your peaceful, beautiful garden soon.

Poor Joy, those Men of yours need to cut you some slack. Hope the cats have recovered from the shock of unexpected loud noise. Don't worry your garden babies will forgive your absense. Can't wait to see what you have instore for us with the hint of the landscaping company... ;)

Hi Janet .. what a toilet can make you go through is remarkable and I am totally impressed that you are a handy-girl with it ! Plumber has come and fixed the problem thank goodness .. the girls and I are having an EARLY night for sure : )

Cindee it always seems to go that way with us .. like a domino affect , one thing starts and it all falls down ? what the heck is that about ?? It was something to do with washers and what nots .. but it is finally fixed .. this plumber is a good man to have ! LOL

Dear Dave .. you are VERY BAD !! : ) .. hands over your ears for now on !!

Tina it does seem that way to us a LOT of the time .. one right after the other .. but this is fixed without a lot of bother thankfully !

Thank you mothernature ! It can be scary what tricks a toilet can get up to .. I understand about that soft silent scary stuff too ;-)

"ben" all I can say is that it is a good thing we are all on medication in the house ? kidding .. haha

Andrea .. postal and toilet some how seems to go together hand in hand ?? LOL

Patsi girl .. I'm getting an estimate for taking the wooden railway ties out that are the border to my borders and doing bricking instead .. with nice curves that look good ?
Yup .. the flooring guy has been TOLD ? LOL

Hello Meredith ! I have never heard a toilet make a noise like that in my whole life .. and I have witnessed some odd toilets in my time ? haha Thank you !

Hello there Racquel .. yup ! the guys know I have had enough now ?
I bought cookies and muffins today to smooth my rough edges over (only because I couldn't find any fudge ?? haha) .. the girls are still trying to calm down .. a couple of days with just quiet routine is what we all need .. phew !!

Oh Joy, I laughed like crazy at the vision of your husband and son saying calmly "that was loud .. wasn't it"...LOL... And you having to peel the cats off the ceiling! That's hilarious.

But seriously, I hope it all turns out okay. It's frustrating when someone doesn't do a job properly, especially when the toilet is involved!

Hi Martha .. yes .. they were rather deadpan about it all while the cats and I had all of our hairs standing straight on end .. but that is a girl thing isn't it ? ... hey ... the plumber fixed the loose "washer" ? thingy and now the pipes stopped screaming ... for now ? all because of the stupid floor (which I dislike STILL ? ) GROAN !! hehe

What a deal! We had a shower installed in the upstairs restroom before we moved in 11 years ago. It doesn't have a door, and for some reason, shower curtains don't keep the water in, so we've had water leak down, and cause damage to the ceiling in our dining room, which is really a bedroom. We haven't had it repaired so far. I don't know how much that will cost. Water issues are not fun, are they?!!!

Sue girl ... I understand how this feels with bathroom issues .. we had the bathroom from hell for about 8 years .. just recently it was repaired by the company that did the last installations with the shower that leaked constantly .. we NEVER thought we would have a proper shower that didn't have a problem .. and I understand the cost issue .. if this weren't an honorable cost free fix we would have waited a long time !
I hope yours can be done soon so you don't have to worry about it .. been there done that, and it is stressful !
