HH from the Girls ^..^ ^..^

P.S. I have to admit this is a picture from last year .. I truly doubt the girls could sit on the mantle like this again, due to both of them GROWING like the Himalayan/Main Coon characteristics in their blood line .. so that just leaves me with NO excuse then ? haha Posted by Picasa

Hi Joy~~ I hope you'll give the girls a chin rub from me. They look so regal and dare I say, bossy seated at their throne. I wonder what it would be like if cats ruled the world. LOL Cheers.

Tell you what, I do remember that photo. I was so amazed that you managed to get them to stay up there without getting scratched to death.

Great shot, maybe you can build a wider mantle for next year. LOL.

Now, if you hadn't told us this was from last year, I never would have remembered. Emma and Sophie make the perfect mantle decorations!

Hi Joy. I just had to pop over when I heard you had an Amaryllis. That's so exciting! You cannot mess it up! Truly. They are so easy to grow, you will love it and want more! :-) (or maybe just greedy people like me who want more!) Anyway, I use regular potting soil, plant bulb to the "shoulders," water sparingly until growth appears, then as you normally would any houseplant after that. I start mine in a bright warm spot then, when they are about to bloom, move them to a cooler spot (to prolong the blooms). Good luck and enjoy your first Amaryllis. The bulbs are so quick to grow, it makes watching them very fun.

Hi Joy, this is Linda :) Just wanted to let you know that I got a longer look at your blog and I love it!! You have such a beautiful way with words and I love how you "see" so much through your garden and the sky and clouds. It was a pleasure to finally meet you and I hope you don't mind that I got a closer peek.
Happy New Year!

Linda ! I just came over from your blog and loved your shots : )
We didn't really get a chance to talk .. I can't even begin to list all of the wacky stuff that had been going wrong since September ? I think those trips to Cuba with John are bad luck for me ? haha .. I left comments on the last two posts you did .. and a question .. I would love to hear back from you ! Thanks very much for having a peek at my blog .. it gets rather odd ? when locked into cabin fever during the winter months .. BIG sigh ! LOL
