Oh, you caught the drip! Congrats on perfect timing. I'm trying to get my timing right - I didn't get the Christmas decorations up until mid-December, and now it appears they won't come down until mid-January. I'd better get started!
Well that's just the most lovely of photos - well done you! xxx I attempted a couple of pics from the back door yesterday but the running nose and coughing put me off, plus it took and hour to warm up again, hahaha xx
Hello there Frances and I was happy to see at least one of these pictures in focus .. next time something like that comes along it will be "burst" mode for sure : )
Janet girl .. I might just do that ! Thank you for suggesting it : )
Barbee' if you enlarge it you see a tiny tiny droplet after the main one "drops" .. I didn't see that until I enlarged it too .. I was amazed : )
Hey there Cat ! .. I am impressed that the camera and I are becoming better friends ? haha
Thank you Carol .. it is an exclamation point time in the moment for me ? LOL
Dear Dave .. it was an ice ridge that began to melt from the gutter above the deck door and I thought just maybe I could catch it ? ;-)
Tessa girl ! how are you ? .. you are so right .. timing is everything with pictures for me ans this was a great one : )
Miss M ;-) !!! LOL
VW .. that happened to us this year too .. so much going on, late getting them up but we got them down last week .. phew ! what a year that was .. good luck with yours !
Carrie girl ..what are you doing hanging out a doorway with a cold !! Naughty thing ;-) I should have used the "burst" mode but I was just taking luck as it was coming and there it was ! haha
Anna .. it was actually warming up a bit .. thus the icicle dripping for the perfect "drop" ? : )
Lona I was just looking at your amaryllis and drooling big time .. it is gorgeous and baby violets going on to boot .. I am a terrible houseplant mom .. BIG sigh ! .. but I can catch a drip ?!LOL
Great shot!! The photographer in me is totally jealous!! :) Well, I'm not sure if I should admit it this early on, but I bought a Narcisuss plant to grow in the house. They were already in the young stage (2 or 3 inch high stems) so i am trying to see if I can get them all the way to blooming before I kill it LOL. I read about them and saw that they often tip over cause the weight of the blooms...but if you feed them liquor in their water, it stunt the stem growth and allows the flowers to stay upright better. Have you heard this before?? Anyway...dripping ice...must be getting warmer there?
Hello Linda .. I actually have more of them .. I didn't use burst mode (in fact I am still trying to find that program .. I know it is some where on the blanking menu ? LOL) I haven't heard of that method before .. are there alcoholic flowers in the plant world ? haha .. I would have liked to do Paperwhites but the boys would be sneezing all the time .. I have no idea if this amaryllis has scent or not .. no, that was just a "wink link" in the weather it is -18 this morning .. long way to go yet !
Gail girl .. I have meant to send you a little "How are you doing " note .. don't over do it though ! keep hand rested for gardening !!!

Oh, Joy, when my eyes drifted to that last little point of ice, gasped softly; you really DID catch the right moment. Stunning!

Neat! It looks like you caught a droplet falling off the icicle.
It pays to be in the right place at the right time! Great shot :)

Great shot! I'd love to get something similar, but it hasn't been above freezing in a while. That photo deserves a slot on a calendar.
