Stuart has put out a tweet! "Hi blotanists. Blotanical may be down for a few days as we sort out some issues and migrate to a new server. Please pass this message on." To keep up to date go to http://twitter.com/bussogardener

Best wishes Sylvia

Still not working.
I just checked your previous posts and the sunset images were really pretty and a delight to watch.

You are not alone, it is happening here too. Perhaps Stuart is doing the upgrades he has been mentioning.

Thank you Sylvia !! .. I am not a "Twitter" kind of gal ;-) LOL
I thought that might be the case .. phew ! Nice to know it isn't just ME ? : )

Hi there MK : ) Thank you very much ! Hoping to see more beautiful skies as Spring approaches : )

Thanks Linda .. hope it works out smoothly .. poor Stuart has a lot on his hands with us ? LOL
I must make a trip to Home Sense .. I'm sure they have to have some garden like things in by now ? ;-)

Whew, thanks for posting this, Joy! I'd thought my Valentine's Day post was pretty funny and had wondered why hardly anybody was reading it! Then today I tried to get on Blotanical and couldn't, however I tried. Whenever that happens I'm terrified that Stuart's decided to pull the plug. What a relief to see that's not the case!

Thanks for this post, Joy. I had the same problem all day yesterday. I asked various garden bloggers when I left comments, and also posted the question on Facebook, where I have a ton of gardening friends, but noone replied. I started thinking it was just me. Hope you're feeling better these days and getting your energy back! Jan

I don't twitter either, I just have an account so I can follow Stuart when there are problems with Blotanical! Though I have never tweeted (?) I have 70 followers - I can't work that one out!

Best wishes Sylvia

Thanks for the info on the tweet, I've been a little lost without it lol. :)

Hi Cindee girl .. I wonder how long this will last ? I know I can visit all of you through my own links but you sort of depend on a little Blotanical ? LOL

Elly .. I have to get over and see your post girl ! I have been off of here a lot just trying to get sorted out .. but I think I am going through a bit of withdrawal ? : )

Jan .. my goodness ! I never check face book .. I'm not really into that or the Twitter .. so I'm sort of out in the cold too ? LOL
Yes , thank you I am feeling much better .. I hope you are feeling brighter too Jan ! : )

Pats ..yes, but we are professionals aren't we .. no panic happening here .. it will all go smoothly .. except , how long will this actually go on ??EEEKKKKKKK !

Sylvia ! You did make me chuckle : ) That is a good idea .. some kind of instant connection and I have no idea about the followers thing .. makes me paranoid ? LOL !!

Rebecca girl .. I had no idea either .. I'm just sitting here looking at my space .. or in space ? LOL .. one of those days ?

One of the reasons I keep my own blogroll is so that I can visit my favourite places without relying on sites like Blotanical. I used to be so-o-o-o addicted there, but over the past year or so have gradually weaned myself off of it.

I've had problems with Blotanical for months. I've pretty much stopped even trying. It is too slow to read posts. When I do a PICK, I think I spend 5 minutes waiting on it to register.

It was a great place to "meet" but I wouldn't want to live there! :-)

I use my blogroll with RSS feeds to know when folks have updated their blogs.

I know Stuart makes heroic efforts to keep it going.

Hi Linda .. yup ! Having our own blog rolls do help.. but I still like popping in and out of Blotanical too .. habit ? haha

Hi Freda .. my goodness that is a pain in the blank to have it run so slow like that .. I guess I have been lucky ? .. yes .. Stuart does make a humongous ? effort with it all for sure !

Joy, I thought that it was just me. After spending the week with my nose to the grindstone, I thought that I would take some time to catch up on posts. Boo Hoo....
Why did Stuart not post a message to let us know that he was going to do this? I could have been prepared. Wordpress does not have a blogroll like Blogger does.

Seems to still be down, I hadn't come across it, may swing by in my new one of my incarnations.

GardenJoy4Me said...

Deborah ! I had no idea word press didn't have that option .. I guess I am better off staying here than (even with the limited artys fartsy problem ? LOL) It might have helped having a comfort message from Stuart ;-) Big sigh ...

Cat girl .. give me a hint about what kind of new incarnation you might like to try out for a test spin .. OK ? I don't want to miss that one ! hehehe

I'm excited to hear about a new server. Am I the only one who gets frustrated that blotanical seems to run soooo slowly? Hopefully this change will speed things up for this impatient blotanist ;-)

Hey Joy, Just wanted to let you know that my white post is up (shameless plug). Hope all is well, and that Blotanical is back up soon. I try to keep my blogroll updated, but have missed a few....:(

GardenJoy4Me said...

VW girl .. now you know that isn't good for you .. getting so frustrated like that but YES ! maybe things will go a little faster for you and you won't be thinking those "naughty" words I just know you are thinking of ? LOL

Rebecca ! So you have fallen to the "way of the white" ? LOL
I too forget to update my blog roll and I'm sure I'd be a bit red faced about it .. I blame it all on menopause though .. it covers a lot of areas ?? haha

Wow the gang's all over here partying with Miss Joy while I have been hitting the refresh button for days, trying to get on Blotanical.

Blotanical does have it's problems.
I'm kinda used to it :(

Cherry girl ! How are you ?!
I am so not into "face book" or "twitter" ..I'd be the one on the desert island without a cell phone either .. just don't want to be bothered like that ? haha
This has been one long break from Blotanical .. kinda' SCARY ? haha
Yes .. come on over and we will start the ice cream rounds .. then fudge ? ;-)

Patsi some how I figure if there is going to be a problem .. you are in it some where ? hahaha
When the heck are they going to start True Blood and Nurse Jackie !!

Thanks for this post! I feel like I have been running around in the dark trying to find out what happened to Blotanical!

GardenJoy4Me said...

Sheila girl !
I had meant to stop by your blog so many times I don't know what happened .. well, I guess I do .. too many doctor appointments numbed my brain ? haha
Hang in there girl .. I'm sure it won't be much longer .. I hope ??
