The "peeking" sun

This morning it is "Spring" here .. for how ever long Ms. Spring wants to tickle our garden souls ?
I am intending to get out and rake away some of the leaf litter still blanketing the garden beds.
I know this is just a tease .. trying to trick me into thinking "YES !!!" Spring is here .. but we all know how this plays out right ?
In another few days we will have a snow storm and I will be saying some naughty words ;-)
For now I watched the sun "PEEK" over my neighbor's roof and I thought I would catch it in action .. it happens fast ..

I couldn't resist the chance of a close up to see that fantastic fireball between the out stretched arms of this tree ..
Funny enough we need clouds to bounce and highlight colour from the rising sun .. but since it is so beautiful out there right now .. I will forgive the absence of colour and enjoy the warmth and brightness ... as are the birds , they are too happy to tweet ? but not on "Twitter" !

Gorgeous pics, Joy! Aren't you just loving this weekend? I admit I'm also jumping the gun here, believing that spring is firmly here. But as a Canadian yourself, you know that the month of March can be quite deceiving, tossing in a raging snowstorm at times. I personally hope that we're done with the snow; we'll have to wait and see. In the meantime, let's just 'pretend' that spring is firmly here and go out into our gardens and putter around a little :) One thing you can say about Canadians - we're optimistic!

If it helps to say the naughty words, I say do it! :D At least they can wait for another day...today is going to be awesome all along the eastern half of North America, I daresay! :D

Joy, what lovely photos. I hardly ever see the sun coming up in Toronto, too many tall buildings. I am stuck here this weekend, and I am so anxious to get up to Kilbourne Grove and get gardening!
Enjoy your day.

Deborah .. I can well imagine you are doing garden missions constantly in your head while waiting to get up there .. you will be pooped before you set foot in your garden girl ! LOL
I do love seeing the sun rise .. but by 6 PM I am ready for bed ? LOL

Hi there Ms. S and yes : ) seeing that peeking sun is a bonus to being an early riser .. but I am still waiting for those amazing coloured mornings .. can't wait !

Never mind a few more snow storms - spring is on it's way nevertheless! Before you know it, we'll be weeding and planting and... Wow! can't wait!

That warm sun certainly does tease us, doesn't it? I have to really restrain from buying a lot of plants knowing that we always get an "Easter Front." I love the feel of the sun on my face after the chill of winter. ummmmm

Love those pics, looks like my husband was getting the blogger notifications. I found an affordable SLR, but he says I don't need one and that a more modern coolpix would work well for me (and I won't have to carry the weight around). We will see, I need something for Europe this summer.

Katarina .. I know it won't be long now .. and soon I will be complaining about how HOT it is out there ? LOL .. well not for a while but you know what I mean ?;-)

Linda that is so true .. I charge out at the garden centers busting to buy plants but I have my budget to stick to for the bricking etc .. so I MUST BE GOOD ? ;-)

Lisa girl .. I think we had your sun here today but it will come back to you for a visit very soon !

Cat ! if you are going to Europe make sure you have a camera you really trust .. don't miss out on those gorgeous pictures .. I only wish I had had one while we lived there .. I missed so many opportunities darn it all !!

Hello Christine and thank you !.. in another month or so the sun rises should be stunning I hope .. they are my favorite .. thank heavens Spring is on its way !
