Hello Ms. Ladybug !

Another full guns blazing garden day and an ICK !! factor added for fun ?
Euonymus Scale anyone ? I thought it was just a fungicide problem then I learn that all those tiny white "things" were tiny white bugs .. OMG !!! .. they went every where when I trimmed away at the shrub .. nightmares tonight I'm sure and a grand ripping out session most likely to come .. I didn't realize how badly off the poor shrub was .. guilty shudders all about .. just another garden day adventure .. BIG sigh !Posted by Picasa

Better outdoors than on the houseplants, Joy. I saw a lady bug yesterday in the garden, but it was on an ugly plant, so didn't photograph it!

Sandy you would have laughed at me when I realized what those white things were after the fact .. ugh !
It was nice to see a ladybug but they aren't as red as they used to be ? or is that me ? ;-)

I've never seen or heard of Euonymus Scale - and I hope I never do!! Still nice here, I rush home from work, cook and eat supper and head out to the gardens until it's too dark to see anything. I'm almost wishing for a rainy day to force me to get groceries or clean my house.

Ick is right! I hate scale; those rotten $%#$^#$^#. That's too bad about your shrub, Joy. Don't you hate when pests cause damage in the garden? Argh...

Hello there Racquel girl !
She was my first so I had to make a fuss ? LOL

Bonnie .. that is so true for me too girl ! I have been neck deep in garden issues .. I am so exhausted yet when I see or think of things that need to be done , well i drive my body literally into the ground .. you are too so STOP and breath and look after yourself (advice I should take too ? LOL) .. take a break before you fall over woman ! ;-)

Martha it was my first time seeing this stuff .. I hope never to see it again it was terrible .. the job of getting this old (but was beautiful) shrub out of the side bed is going to be tough ... I'll need John's muscles at it too ;-)
