Finally a bit more of the garden !

I made it out into the garden for a few minutes.. chaperoned by husband in case I did the "tilt-a-whirl" trick and fell on my face or my not face parts ? ;-)
It was hard to be there and NOT be there if you know what I mean .. not to be able to "fix" things but at least no one has left home and gone to plant heaven on me yet ?
The butterfly weed has so many pods of seeds this year it is remarkable .. and they attract lots of beautiful company ?
The Morden Sunrise girls are having party after party without me there to keep them in line .. but they do look gorgeous all the same don't they ?
Prince Henry anemone is budding out slowly but surely and I know he will look very handsome !
Pamina anemone was a favorite of mine but didn't winter through so this time I hope by having two of them and in a raised, some what protected bed .. I'll have better luck perhaps ?
Our Mountain Ash (for which we never knew exactly which one it is .. orange berries instead of brilliant red .. anyone know about this one ?) is looking pretty even though the poor thing is being crowded out by Pacific Sunset Maple .. I am sure I read it wasn't supposed to be THAT BIG !! eeekkkk !!
Busy bees and company on Joe Pye ....
I think that bee feel asleep actually .. too much pollen again ?
This guy I wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of .. kinda' scary looking eh ?
Now for my SMILE of the day .. how can you not see a HUGE grin on this guy's face ? he is adorable and seems to love having his picture taken ?
So ... I made it into the garden but it will be many more days before I can actually get back to mission control and have it whipped into shape before the BIG sleep season comes .. fingers crossed ... heck ! EVERYTHING is CROSSED !! just let me garden please !!!

Glad you were able to get out there for awhile. Having pictures will at least continue to link you while you heal. Sweet of J to escort you out there. Feel better!

I really miss have Joe Pye Weed, just no room in this garden. It was such a butterfly attraction.

Eileen there are new cultivars created especially for small gardens now .. I think you could fit one of these in your garden ! I'll try to send you a link to some : )

Joy, my dear, I'm so happy that that you got a chance to get out into your garden and take these lovely photos. Everything looks really nice and the garden is really hanging on; must be all that TLC over the years that you've provided. Hope you feel better really soon!

Linda I don't know how your comment got stuck in cyber space but there you are ! .. Yes J and I almost had a heart attack when I tried to step up a curb and almost went backwards because the knee is still so wobbly .. so he was afraid I might still do that even in my garden ? haha
I'm so impatient about how slow this is to heal .. I want my freedom back !!LOL

I had a glimpse and then withdrawal pangs hit and I had to get inside or I might have gone down and laid there crying ? haha .. kidding .. things aren't too bad but you know how you see a million little things you could be doing ? agony !!

So glad you got out into the garden!! Just catching up with posts, your Joe Pye is looking great, I'm sad mine didn't survive the winter.

Rebecca I wonder why Joe didn't make it in your garden ? I started out with the BIG version which is in these pictures .. then planted one of the smaller ones but backed it against the fence with plants in front that are squeezing it a bit much .. note to self "move plants when possible !!" ;-)
