A little bit of garden and a little bit of Halloween ?

OK .. it has been like holding back Niagara Falls for me with the Halloween crazies starting to poke their bony fingers at me .. you know I have to succumb by now right ?
Mean time I will try to submerge into the "other" world slowly so as not to FRIGHTEN YOU !!!
I saw this gorgeous pink sky a couple of mornings ago and these crows were perfect with their eerie calling ? .. come on ... it sets the mood a little ?
First a "little bit of garden" .. the hardy girl "Robustissima" starts the show off and she is a beauty : )
See ? so darn friendly she wants to give you a hug !
I don't know what happened to my Little Lamb .. she threw out HUGE flowers and not so huge flowers .. and she did get soaked with heavy rain so I had to cut some of them back .. ouch !
These are her "normal" ? sized ones and so pretty turning pink .. has anyone had two very different sized flowers happen on the same hydrangea like this ?
I'm not sure if I like this plant or not .. I had such high expectations for it but it seems to be more foliage than flower .. the name is way COOL though right ??
YES .. this is sliding into Halloween territory .. I just can NOT help it ...
OK .. FULL on Halloween with vintage cards .. just two .. just a little .. to start it off .. I will behave !! I swear !!
I can't promise not to get on my broom though ..
So ... a little sky with crows .. a little garden with questions ... and a little Halloween to make me feel better on a Monday morning .. go figure the house NEEDS cleaning and I am putting it off as long as I can ?? EEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK !!

I was wondering when Halloween would creep into your posts. Lovely blooms.

You sound like you're feeling better, but I know your sense of humour is always intact regardless of anything, Joy. You've made me giggle this morning and I'll never look at Japanese anemones again without thinking they're reaching for a hug.

Hi Joy girl, First my guess is the hydrangea is an old-wood, new-wood thing. The first flowers appeared on last year's wood. The second on new wood. Mine do this too sometimes although I can't tell you why.

Halloween? Oh brother! No just kidding. You know the "old" saying, "It's my blog and I'll write what I want to..."? Well it definitely applies here. I happen to enjoy your true colors so as Billy Joel sings, "Don't go changin' to try and please me..."

That was the kind of sky that I saw driving to work for a meeting this morning! It was so pretty, I would have stopped and taken a picture if I had my camera with me. :)

Clean house??? UGH...lets not think of that. I would rather think about Halloween even though it isn't my favorite holiday. It does happen during my favorite time year. Your mass of halloween paraphernalia is amazing, no wonder you have to start early. Be careful of your back while flying around on that broom.

I am so proud of you. You have put Halloween off for a long time Joy LOL! You must be getting all of those catalogs I have in the mail with all of the Fall and Halloween decorations. I love going through 'Terrys Village' and the 'Old Country Home' catalogs now. So many Fall pretties.
About this housework thingy. It will always be there waiting on you so keep putting it off LOL!

So you are a Halloween person? So am I, just waiting to start decorating. Each year for the past thirty some years I have had a Halloween Party. That Little Lamb looks interesting, reminds me of my Unique Hydrangea but smaller.

Give that Full Moon Coreopsis a chance. Mine has been a non-stop bloomer, covered with flowers. It's getting floppy though, so you might want to put it in a peony hoop.

Msrobin girl how are you !
Yes .. I will give it another year .. if it survives our winter that is .. and yes ! I already have it supported since I saw the indications it would be floppy ! LOL
