Last bits of garden glory ?

I am on a ramble for this post ... just pictures with some words that cropped up in my tiny mind? Yes .. snicker snicker is actually a compliment for me at this stage of the game !
We are in rain day mode for a few days here so that gray fog has crept in and I am drifting now ... probably because I get up at 5 in the morning ??
So .. the pictures are rather dull due to the gray skies we have had but if I say so myself .. there is life left in the old girl still ! .. I'm talking garden here now ;-( hehehe

Your garden does have that fresh relaxed look of fall. Beautiful.

Even though you are showing mostly foliage your garden looks great. All the leaf colors and shapes intermingle to look interesting.

Hi Joy!
It was so good to see your comment on my blog ~ I've been thinking about you (especially with Halloween coming up) and meaning to visit you. Your garden looks great too ~ hard to believe it's almost Nov.

Guess what? We are doing another "experiment" together ~ I bought a "Bloodgood" Japanese Maple this year too!! Isn't that funny?! Have no idea how it will overwinter here ~ I think we're in the same zone, am I remembering that right?? Mine is still in its container ~ I wanted it as a container tree ~ so I guess I can move it to the garage if need be but I'd rather not. We'll have to compare notes come spring!

Perfect Halloween tree in your most recent post too!

Happy Halloween to you if I don't get back over here. I hope it's a good one for you!!

Wow, Joy, you still have some pretty things growing over there! We haven't had a real hard frost yet, so the plants are still hanging on. I just love the Morden Sunrise. Mine is also still blooming. I'm so grateful you recommended it to me. It's one of the best things in my garden!

Such an incredible fall garden Joy!! Everything looks fantastic, lucky you (I realize it took more work than luck, but you're still very fortunate!).

Meems girl the reds do pop don't they? Although we didn't see the scarlets on the Maple trees this year .. my reds have to make up for it?LOL

CGP hello there ! This Ivy is an amazing burst of colour in the Autumn and I can't imagine not having it in my garden : )

Lisa Spring and Autumn are those wonderful laid back months for the plants themselves .. very little stress to make them or us crazy? LOL

Hello Jennifer : )I am a foilage kind of gardener .. flowers are fleeting even though I must have them too but I always fall back on the foliage for stretching out that length of interest !

Kathleen girl hello there : )
Thank you ! I can't believe it took me so long to get over to your blog for some reason .. DUH ? LOL
You know I want to try one in a container too ! I know Deborah from Killborn Grove used to live in Kingston and she said she had one on their deck for years, so that has me thinking .. smell the smoke?LOL .. YES ! nearly the same zone so this will be great to see if we can do it ? I also have Red Dragon a more cut leaf version in the long side bed against the house .. fingers crossed for both of us girl!!!

Martha girl the Morden series are lovely but I wish they had intense scent .. but I have the W.Shakespeare and Zephirine D. for that .. so Sunrise is all about colour and form right ? Yup .. no true hard frost yet .. but it is coming !!! eeekkkk !

Rebecca girl I understand what you mean exactly about "luck' it truly is a factor no matter how hard you work .. so YES !! I am a lucky gardener : ) thanks girl !

Kylee girl I had to hunt for you here! LOL
Thank you so much : 0 I have been lacking in my visits to your little acre .. although I am guilty of reading and not leaving a comment .. I hate doing that .. red hot embarrassed face here ! LOL
I have to turn over a new leaf, especially since most of the leaves have fallen here ? wink wink
I'm coming over there now !

Joy, don't you even apologize for not visiting lately nor for reading and not commenting! I totally understand that! It just seems like life has gotten so busy that we do things on the run these days! I'm VERY guilty of reading and not commenting lately and I feel guilty about that, too. I love seeing your joyful comments always, but no apology needed! *hugs*

Kylee you are too sweet to me ! : )
I don't know what the heck is happening when I thought I would have more free time as the garden goes to sleep .. I missed so much as it was but now having this last box of bulbs on the table staring at me and those moments of panic ? eeekk !
Where has all this time gone !!
Hope you get some for yourself Kylee girl we all need that : )
