Shadow Shot Sunday

The change in season is breathing cold air down my neck .. oops that was the freezer!
No .. how can I say that when we have NO snow as of yet ? .. it is ridiculously warm and the grass is too green to believe ! ... wait a minute .. I just know this is a "bait and switch" sort of deal mother nature does to us .. we KNOW about her "Tom Foolery" ? .. a huge winter storm is stirring in a pot some where .. waiting to burst our tiny bubble of happiness SOON !
So for now I will only comment that yes .. winter shadows are happening even if we don't have the white fluffy stuff up to our ears ............ yet !
Tracy, of Hey Harriet is our head honcho for this extraordinary meme .. once you start looking at the fabulous pictures you will be hooked ! and .. you may even want to join in .. did I say "may"?
I mean you WILL want to join in !! So head over to Tracy's place and enjoy the show : ) wink wink

Joy, I was surprised when I read this post as I heard about a BIG cold front coming from Canada. Will that hit you? A little piece of it is suppose to get here over Thanksgiving.
Love the shadow picture. Isn't is funny how shadows change with the seasons? A summer shadow always looks hot to me! :)

Hello there Linda girl !
Yes we are going to get the colder temperatures soon but not a lot of snow as of yet ? Hope you get only what you want out of that weather system too ? haha
Hey thank you ! and you are so right Linda .. summer shadows still look HOT to me too : )

Hello there Sylvia : )
yes these shadows get so long it is funny to see them stretch way out there like this ! Have a great weekend too : )

Kay have you been wintered in way over there ? hehehe .. don't worry, we will be getting dumped on big time no doubt .. but exactly when ? we aren't too sure yet. Thanks !

Ah yes, the long shadows near the solstice are the best as are the ones at the end of day. For us in California winter storms have arrived and that actually brings the greening of our world.

So glad you pointed me in the right direction Joy, thought you had got lost in cyberspace. It certainly turned cooler today and very windy. Makes me think that white stuff is on the way soon. Have a great weekend.

You are a funny clown! I'm wondering what you were doing being so up close and personal with your freezer for it to be breathing cold air down your neck! Head jammed into the freezer on the hunt for the last of the chocolate ice cream I suspect! Er...no...that's me! Love your shadow shot and I hope the nasty cold stays away for a bit longer and you continue enjoying the nice weather! Oh and I deleted the incorrect link of yours from Mr Linky just now. Easy peasy! Enjoy the rest of your weekend :)

I love the shadow shot. It's been cloudy lately around here. Wish we'd see some sun, and it's cold too. Some snow on the ground, but very little, almost gone in most places.
You are correct, Mother Nature will indeed blast you sooner or later, although the Farmer's Almanac predicts a colder than normal dryer than normal Winter for the Midwest of the continent.
Hope all is good with you

Peace.

Menopausal women have an up close personal relationship with their freezers .. it is called "hot-flashes" hehehe although the ice cream thing comes in handy too ?
I didn't want to confuse you with the change I was going through and I'm glad you could knock out the knock off link : ) THANKS !!

Hello Joe and thank you : ) It was a last minute find .. not a lot of opportunity for shadow shots lately .. and the weather is going to turn very icy soon .. in fact it is CRISP this morning ! eeekkk !

Great shot Joy! I love those long shadows of November. You've captured a beautiful mood.

No snow here yet either. It's been a beautiful early autumn here, and November's been uncharacteristically sunny. The chill and clouds have been coming on in recent days though, and we can feel some winter in the air.

First, belated but heartfelt congrats on your new name and the look of your blog, Joy. It's wonderful. Second, brrrrrr! We had a bit of snow yesterday, but it's mostly gone from here now. The first of many, however....

Thank you Joy for your kind words-what a gift! And yes, there is always sun in the winter in Alberta which is why I miss it-living in Victoria at the moment. But I'm sure that Ontario is also beautiful and is a place I have never experienced. Merry Christmas and I hope that you are able to sleep tonight knowing that Santa is in full force on this eve spreading Joy to all....Thank you, Erin

Hello again Erin : ) Thank you as well for your Christmas wishes : )
We enjoyed our time living on Vancouver Island for a few years .. we have been so fortunate to live in many different areas, to be able to experience so many new places .. Ontario can be exceptionally beautiful in Autumn with coloured leaves .. my favorite time of the year : )
I'm sure Santa will be very good to you !
