Shadow Shot Time

I have missed Shadow Shots lately .. just too crazy busy in the garden when I can dodge those rain days and then after being in full throttle garden mode .. well, I collapse on the floor moaning and groaning and poor husband has to drag me off to fall on the bed .. not a pretty sight to see.
Enough of that right ? .. when the sun does come out to play, I try to grab some shadow shots .. I have put two up this time to try and make up for those lost weekends ?
Tracy from Hey Harriet has so many shadow shooters at work for her, you just have to go over to her place and have a look at all those talented shots !!
P.S. We are so lucky to have a sweet Chickadee couple take up residence in our little birdhouse!!

Lovely shadow shots. I'm not sure if I'll get one up for this week, the sun just isn't co-operating much at all. How cute to have chickadees in your birdhouse. Enjoy the weekend and cross your fingers for some dry weather.

We collect modern Japanese prints. The first shot gives me the feeling of just such a print. It's elegant.

I do love your shadow shots for the day!! They're perfect for a spring day -- well, any day actually, but I'm thinking SPRING these days! Hope you have a great, sunny weekend! Enjoy!

You describe your garden passion - your description of your DH coaxing you away from the plant life for the day would be unique :)

Your homestead's garden is stunning, an absolutely lovely place to visit - and relax while taking in the beautiful flora. Beauty abounds!

Your shadows are soft and delicate, as though the sun were not strong and bold. Am I correct?

I ALMOST LOST MY SHADOW

I almost lost my shadow,
I left it in the park;
I heard my mommy calling,
For it was getting dark;

She has no use for shadows,
She thinks they are quite grim,
And when she saw my shadow,
She thought it was a “him.”

I had to educate her
And tell her it was “she”—
And now my faithful shadow
Is welcome as can be!

I'm happy that you are enjoying the garden, (You are enjoying being exhausted, aren't you?). Great shadow shots. Not too much sun around here, but enough to get out and ride the motorcycle a bit. Hope all is good with you. Make hubby give you a massage!

Peace

Hello Linda girl : )
I loved that shot of the sweet hummingbird that you took !
The sun hasn't been very smiley to us at all eh ? We had a tiny moment yesterday late afternoon but it looks like more is going to fall today .. what a weird Spring !!

Hello Lisa girl and thank you ! I thought I better post an extra one to make up for that "lost" weekend?LOL ..

Grace girl thank you .. the sun is not all that cooperative so shadow shots are hiding most of the time!

Hello Patricia .. that tomato print was so pretty ! You must have such an extensive collection .. thank you so much for your wonderful comments on my shadow : )

Sylvia your friend from Mumbai is so creative with your header pictures .. they are amazing ! Your shadow collage was so pretty too.
The sun is not shining very much these days .. hoping to see it some time this coming week ? LOL

Cassie I really enjoyed seeing your viola shots on your arm .. now how ingenious can you get ? LOL
This chickadee couple decided the little birdhouse on the garden stake was the home to adopt this year .. we didn't do anything new other than buy a solar powered birdbath/fountain which was our garden treat of the year .. who knows why they picked us but I am tickled pink ? they did!!

Ralph you are so sweet ! Thank you : ) .. You had me remembering childhood memories of a white straw hat and gloves to match when I saw your sister's photograph .. she is so pretty and excited in it ! then your dad with the pilot .. that must have been amazing to hear first hand of his experience : )
You always have wonderful stories to tell with each picture Ralph!

MMT : ) I try to find your Sunday post but I am lost as to how to find YOU ? wink wink .. Yes .. the sun and I are at odds .. he seems not to want to shine too brightly these days .. more of a pout than anything else ? thus the faint shadows and leaving me wanting more! LOL

Hello there GT : )
Thank you so much ! .. Ah yes .. almost every Spring for the past few years, the garden is under going renovations of some kind .. I wish for one year that all I do is a tidy up and then sit back and just enjoy it ? LOL

Beverly girl where is our sun ? Is it hiding out some where ? western provinces ? haha .. I enjoyed seeing your shadow shots girl .. your lovely vivid blue flower was gorgeous !

Diane thank you so much ! as I did yours as well : )

Hello Stef : ) Yes ! I had a peek at all the activity going on over in your little piece of the world .. very busy indeed : )

Annie girl I have tried so many times to get a shot of our chickadee couple it is so frustrating !! .. on one hand I don't want to disturb them or frighten them .. yet on the other I so wish to have a good picture .. maybe even of the babies when they are old enough to come out and see the world ! fingers crossed : )

Joe : ) you are so sweet, thank you! Yes !! this kind of exhaustion is the BEST .. to look back at what you have created (if all the forces work together nicely ? LOL) it is an amazing feeling.
I loved seeing your shots of that wood .. it was so full of character and how ingenious was it to shore up the fence ? .. it must have been wonderful to camp out there and maybe even see the stars ? : )
