A New Arrival

I think I might have mentioned in one of my posts that a climbing rose called Blossomtime that came way too early in the "Spring" to plant it and for all I could judge the poor thing was as dead as a doornail in any case .. but I always give plants a chance and I planted it ... nope! no sudden springing ? to life ...
It was a goner .... so I contacted Veseys, and sure enough they have sent me another one with the essence of life in it .. so far ?

It doesn't look great in this picture .. but Sophie gave it the sniff test and in her opinion it is alive and kicking and watch out for those thorns girl !!
So planting time is coming up and fingers crossed there will be loads of beautiful blossoms : )

I'm keeping fingers crossed for some life in your rose! But I agree, the sniff test is probably valid, and based on the finely tuned feline sniffer, you got a good one this time.

Will you have a look at my blog? You'll see, what's in the next parcel .....

Take care
Meggie

You have so nice helper Sophie! I think this rose will live and grow if your cat tested it's OK.

Joy, there is always room for more plants! I love how your furry girl is sniffing the new arrival. I swear these cats are so nosy about everything. I tried getting some things done around here today and my two furry girls were sticking their noses into everything. They drove me crazy :)

Thank goodness they sent a new one. Best of luck with this plant. After last year's escapade with half dead plants I'm starting to get a bit leery of Veseys.

Darla girl those "drugs" do you a lot of good girl ! LOL
Hey how did it go girl ?

Marguerite girl .. what happened ? did they not replace dead plants for you ? I buy the bulk of mail order plants from two companies here in Ontario because the quality is the best I have found anywhere .. maybe because they are from Ontario too ? LOL
