Shadow Shot Time

I struggled to get a shadow shot for today .. I literally just shot this from the deck door this morning.
We have had wicked weather for the last two weeks .. rain snow rain WIND .. in actuality "winter" weather!
So I thought this shot of our budding vine had a few things to say.
"I'm alive !! .. my buds are breaking and I have held on to make it to Spring !"
" yes .. I do have remnants of my winter death still holding on in the form of dried up foliage .. but that gives way to my buds and leaves"
" finally ... my shadow self .. in between life and death here ... not one or the other .. but here all the same"

OK .. I have a headache after all that philosophical talk first thing in the morning !

Nice to see your vine budding. Nasty frost overnight, I did remember to bring in some plants I had started but forgot the hummingbird feeder and yep, it was frozen this morning. It's now defrosting on the counter while I make new food. The sun is out this morning, but it is fooling us, it isn't really warm yet but at least the rain and wet snow have stopped.

This weather is so frustrating isn't it? Just weeks ago you were blissfully working in the garden in a t-shirt if I remember correctly. It's 5 degrees and windy as all get out here. There's no way I'm stepping foot outside the door today but I'm eyeing the garden from the window wistfully thinking about all the work to be done.

We have had some miserable weather for sure! Snow in April is pure misery. Yesterday was warmer, but still darn cold. Things are budding out here as well. The rain/snow at least helped in delivering some much needed moisture. Have yourself a wonderful weekend Joy!

A shadow shot from the back door is better than no shadow shot at all!

Great composition in this shot. The additional philosophical explanation explanation makes it even better! ;) The weather has been so wild this year - I hope our tomatoes and squash can survive the onslaught of bugs I foresee in their future! It's quite a battle!

Wow!
Our grapes are flowering and beginning to show signs of fruiting, we may actually get some this year. Good luck with your vines!

You really did hit the jackpot with this one. When you think there is nothing to shoot, suddenly something appears before your eyes. I love this one. When the shot is unexpected it is all the better. Nice capture. genie
