I'm stuck .... you know how you plod along thinking "Ok .. I haven't won the lottery (yet .. some how you always think there is hope .. and believe me I have no grand schemes .. just to help family members and some friends out and enjoy a BIG wonderful garden that I can get a lot of help with ? wink wink) ..
Life is alright .. then it seems like bit by bit things start to drag you down .. and you are almost waiting to hear the BIG shoe drop.
So what do you do ? .. If I am able .. I putter in the garden .. flaming night wear in early morning and all .. dragging the hose around .. listening to the birds chattering at me .. waiting for me to finish so they can play in the birdbath and check for bugs disturbed by the watering .. heck ! if I was a bird I would do the same thing!
Point of this post ? .. absolutely nothing ... so here are some pictures to top the babble off.
But hey .... at least the bees are happy and I can live with it.
Peach Cobbler" is really really pretty and I am very glad it is surviving this horrible weather .. so straight away I can see it will stand up to our weird weather.
The "Susans" are what carry the garden right now .. if it weren't for them it would be so dull and sad looking.
In the above picture there is "southern bush honeysuckle" and another new plant which has already flowered and was gorgeous "veronicastrum Fascination" a beautiful light lavender colour and a butterfly magnet .. I have the native white version for some years and it just keeps getting better and better .. so I hope this one will follow suit as well !
Mean while I balance on that green ball trying to make sure my garden gets through this year of the heat and drought .... yes, it could always be worse ... BIG sigh !
Have I mentioned there are only 92 days until Halloween ???
