Shadow Shot Time

We had a bit of a storm yesterday .. about 2 feet worth of snow.
If you look at my garden bench you can see the snow is sitting on the seat ... well done snow !
Snow blankets my garden babies and makes winter less harsh for them .. but husband says that rain is coming .. I just don't know what to expect this Spring for my garden but you just have to roll with the punches as a gardener !

Lots of intricate shadows here that I love to see .. an actual butterfly suspended in mid air by the garden stake .. filigree from the garden bench and twiggy arms from one of my Japanese maples.

Wow, Joy, that was a lot of snow. We got about 31 cm. or just over 12 inches here in Quinte. But today is such a lovely sunny day. Who can complain when the snow is out?

We are at about 30 inches, with two big kids working in shifts to clear the driveway. Too much snow and wind to make much headway...but we can admire the fresh snow canvas to have artistic shadows!

Lovely shadow shot ! Yes we hat the the snow storm to and got dumped on and as of next week we are to get warmer temps and rain . Today it is sunny but cold . I think with all the snow we have had and cold enough for perma frost under ground and rain our spring should be good this year for the gardens ! Have a good day !

Well I wish you would get some snow. LOL! Just kidding girl. That would be some cold setting there. Take care now.

I know what you mean about the coming spring Joy. This weather is so wacky. Raining one minute, snow the next. We've had some of the coldest temperatures in years these past few weeks but hardly a speck of snow to cover the ground. I think there may be more than a few plants that will suffer from this.

Excellent shadows, and I love the sparkly snow! We got just under a foot of snow.

Good to see that you survived the blizzard of 2013. Snow is good. Happy SSS.

We had heavy hail here the other day, there were a bunch of kids who had never seen anything like it before, they thought it was snow and were none too keen. Anyway darling, lovely shot, hope your plants are well insulated.
