My "white" that won't "fright"

Sick of snow and cold .. so how can I be a fan of white still ?
The garden makes me so .. OK .. not at this actual moment because it is covered in that other "white" that I am ignoring and not talking about right now.
I am crazy for white garden plants that light up their little spot in my personal Eden ... I can go a little overboard with them at times .. but how can you not when they look so gorgeous ?
Especially .. well, use your imagination because it will happen eventually ... especially in full throttle heat in the summer .. looking at a white plant will lower your temperature I swear !
So ... here are some of my beauties to shake off that other white for just a little time ?

There ! This white isn't so bad now ... is it ?

What an absolutely brilliant post. Pun fully intended. Your white blossoms are fabulous and you're so right. They do lower the temperature. Thank you for the delicious eye candy my friend. Hurry up spring!

They are all beautiful but that poppy knocks you over.

I can take that kind of white anyway ... especially when the background is green :)

Beautiful examples of white Joy. I love them all! The poppy caught my eye. Why haven't I thought of growing a white poppy? The contrast of that dark centre is so striking.
I am so sick of winter!!! When is it going to end? I think it feels worse this year because of the unrelenting cold.

These shots of the other white are great therapy at this time of year when it seems like summer is so far away!

Joy, you are a lady after my own heart!! I love white so much that if there is an option to get a plant in white I will always choose the white! Especially for the shade garden. Your selections here are gorgeous, my dear. Now I am dreaming of sitting outside in the late evening and seeing the white shade garden start to glow. If only the glassful of wine I am imagining were real! Lol

Hello Elaine girl and thank you !
I too am so looking forward to Spring .. do you think it will make it to the great white north ? LOL

Gracie girl hello there : )
Yes we are in deep need of garden eye candy for sure .. looking back at pictures helps ? I think ?

Alain, thank you so much .. it really sticks out against the red ones but I wanted a shot of it on it's own because it is so gorgeous.

Hello Linda girl and YES ! GREEN has to be the back ground for sure .. I am so waiting to see that SOON ?? LOL

Jennifer girl "White Wedding" was on a whim .. then it grew on me and I have to have it as contrast with the red ones now .. this year has been one long winter season and I can't wait either .. if I don't get in the garden soon I won't be able to get out the door from all this winter "fat" !LOL

Mr. Tog , how true is that ..Spring ? when will that ever happen with all of the snow we have piled up ... I can't even imagine it at this point !

Ms. S ... white is such an elegant punctuation in the garden isn't it? .. I have to renew my white lavender and a few others .. it or they? are a must for me .. and girl .. I will share my wine with you .. so come on over! haha

Oh they look gorgeous, all of them. Plus I adore your ladder. I usually go for green and reds in my garden as we have loads of white walls but my jasmine is white and ooh so pretty! Plus, can you bet that first snowdrop of the new year....No :)
Beautiful garden Joy xxx

That is a shot of my neighbor's ladder to their pear tree .. I want to ask them for it if they ever decide they don't want it any more .. I love old wooden ladders!
Yes you would want some bold colour against your white walls! .. sneaking in little white think of me? LOL

Thanks Barbara : )
I am totally jealous of your retail therapy girl ! LOL
Winter way back then almost the same eh ? weather is always a topic of conversation .. haha

Gorgeous pictures Joy! That goatsbeard takes my breath away. I have it growing here but it never gets that big or pretty. Must be your weather;) Hang in there, spring is right around the corner.

Thanks Tina girl : )
I have two goatsbeard but that spot is the best one and funny enough it is a dry abusive spot so why it does so well is a funny thing to me too!
Ah Spring ... what does that look like again ? LOL

Now these whites I adore Joy. So tired of the cold whites. LOL! You have quit a few pretty white blooms in your summer garden. Whites always light up a garden and make the colors brighter on other flowers. I am longing for your kind of whites to appear once more. Have a great week my friend.

Thanks Lona girl ... I am so sick of winter and snow I am ready for the nut house soon ! ... the more "winter" we get the more I succumb to hibernation .. getting in the garden is going to hurt but it is a good hurt (as long as I remember not to kill myself cleaning up ? haha)
Hope you get Spring soon too girl!

Beautiful photos! I forget about white sometimes in my search for bright color... but I also really like it. That poppy is just gorgeous! I want to add some poppies that will not clash with my magenta peonies (since they bloom at the same time) - that would be perfect.

Thank you spurge ! Yes white gives you a neutral POP to the garden and Royal Wedding is a great poppy .. I have had it for a few years and love it.
