January Dregs

Here I am sitting in my unmentionables .. well .. not that bad .. maybe ... but the atmosphere in my "Garden Office" is rather .. shall we say not in much of a garden mood ... I am hoping that will improve over time ?
So far all those New Year resolutions are also rather dodgy .. haven't jumped into that pool of commitment as of yet .. but I do have to see the treadmill as I pass it to get to the laundry room.
It gives me the evil eye ...
I have meant to visit all the wonderful gardeners that have stopped by .. I just haven't gotten the energy up ... yet ... but I didn't want to have my blog look like it was deserted so I thought this little blurb would help keep it "alive" until I get my brain cells organized (if that is possible)
Hope everyone is cozy and warm and thinking garden thoughts !

I am kind of in the same boat here. I have got my garden journal all set up for action this year. Now when the weather settles into gardening temps I can rock and roll. In the mean time I am just day dreaming. I hope you are well and happy.

Happy New Year Joy! Your post has me laughing. Hope you had a nice Christmas. January and February are such long months aren't they? It's hard to believe that they have the same relative number of days as the rest of the months in the year. The weather this winter seems to be swinging wildly one way and another, don't you think? First a snow storm and now rain and mild weather. I am always glad however for the odd reprieve from the cold.

Happy New Year, Joy! I wish we could just skip or sleep through January. Those bears have the right idea.
Let's start at Valentines then onward to Easter I say!
Hope the returning light brightens your days soon. x

Hello Joy!
you must keep blogging time to time, your blog is interesting.
The weather is cold and frosty here too, sure your mood will improve with first signs of warmth and green grass.

Hahaha, Joy, don't feel bad--I just put together a post this week, too, my first in almost two months! I would say I've been busy, which I have, but mostly I just couldn't get motivated to sit down and write something. I've accomplished a few things around the house and actually got on the treadmill most days last week--this week, not so much:) But I haven't thought about gardening at all. I'm just trying to find the darn amaryllis bulbs I brought in this fall! I remember putting them up somewhere so I would see them and remember to re-pot them before Christmas. But of course, I don't remember where that is:) I'll probably find them in April when I start digging out all the garden ornaments. Hope this New Year brings you health and happiness and some motivation for both of us!

You're so clever to put your treadmill near the laundry room. Exercise equipment makes great places to hang clothes. I've heard there's another reason for their existence but haven't figured it out yet.
