Suddenly Sunrise

I was awake at 5 this morning .. couldn't get back to sleep.
So at 6 , I finally caught a red sunrise that I haven't in years .
If it seems repetitious .. forgive my enthusiasm ? I fell in love with it !

The Sun, the Moon, and the stars Joy...and you are a master photographer when it comes to catching their beauty. What a gorgeous sight, and a lovely welcome to the morning.

Gorgeous! One of the reasons I wish I was an early riser :)

Red sky in morning, sailor take warning. I hope you got/get some rain out of this beautiful sky. It pays to get up early occasionally. Unfortunately I awaken many mornings like this.

Hi Jen girl and thank you : ) .. it was so nice to see and finally capture a bit of it.

Thanks Margaret .. I am not usually an early riser . this was all a wonderful fluke !

Funny enough Lisa .. we didn't get rain until 3 AM this morning with a thunderstorm .. but almost an inch and I am grateful !!

Thanks Peter .. it has been a long time since I was up and handling a camera this early : )

Awesome pictures, Joy. Your camera is magnificent. It's interesting the sun disk is really like a flame disk.

Thanks so much Nadezda .. I got this Sony Cybershot a few months ago to take moon pictures (I am a moon nut ! LOL) but my huge tree in the back garden really covers most of the sky so that has been tricky ? .. however , catching the sunrise was great and that made me a happy camera nut.
Yes .. when you zoom in the sun is amazing !

I wish I had taken those pictures Joy, what is it they say in your part of the world (awesome) Well, perhaps a bit further South.
ps, did you know that when you are commenting on someones post the link you have set up is taking us to your google page and not your website. (perhaps that is your intention) Alistair

Hello there Alistair .. thank you so much !
We do say the occasional "awesome" here but thank you for that consideration of it could be further "south" of us .. haha.
I think I corrected that redirection problem .. funny enough I can't even find my own Google page .. I wonder what it looks like ? LOL
