You know another one now ;-) Now to driftwood...it has been one of my favourite features for a while, although I only have one. And not nearly as striking and lovely as yours. Really changes the whole 'feel' of the place to extraordinary.Viooltjehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12493874661606266986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-726816697009103332.post-18454875352483352782008-05-06T18:11:00.000-04:002008-05-06T18:11:00.000-04:00Nancy .. I never thought I would see such nice driftwood from "lakes" as apposed to the sea .. but there are some beauties to be had here after all !CanadianGardenJoyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18130452541076704075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-726816697009103332.post-50196256461049312732008-05-06T06:30:00.000-04:002008-05-06T06:30:00.000-04:00Rose ! .. Our hubbys just aren't gardeners so it is hard for them to picture the future "beauty" ?
But yes .. a lot of them do look like weeds when only the foliage is there and no flower. We have the experience to know the best is yet to come ?
I find that about drift wood too .. some how soothing .. thanks for reminding me that was what I was feeling ! : )CanadianGardenJoyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18130452541076704075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-726816697009103332.post-61152791487576246272008-05-05T23:18:00.000-04:002008-05-05T23:18:00.000-04:00I really like the effect of the driftwood--very ar...I really like the effect of the driftwood--very artistic and somehow soothing.
Just noticed your post about the gallardia. I have been wanting the "Oranges and Lemons," too, and was lucky enough to find them in our local garden center. They're also available from Wayside Nursery and Jackson and Perkins (wayside.com and jacksonandperkins.com). The pictures in the catalogs only show the blooms, so I hope mine turn out that well. My husband took one look at them in their pots and asked, "Why did you buy those weeds??" He just doesn't understand...Rosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01384059342847120951noreply@blogger.com
