I had to move it because it was SO in the way where it was .. I am thinking that Eileen is right about it being lythrum .. the structure of the flowers look like they would bloom as that type of flower head ... it is really TALL !
I will keep track of it and blog pictures of it if it does bloom, fingers crossed !CanadianGardenJoyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18130452541076704075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-726816697009103332.post-25208064948637977972015-08-09T15:20:56.452-04:002015-08-09T15:20:56.452-04:00I'm writing this later. As for putting you out of your misery, you'll have to take care of that yourself. Be sure to show us pics when it blooms. If it is a wild aster then you will have A ZILLION seedlings next spring if you let it go to seed. But the pollinators will love it so just dead head it after it blooms.Casa Mariposahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16647089868277238456noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-726816697009103332.post-85244052416054190732015-07-27T17:43:03.701-04:002015-07-27T17:43:03.701-04:00Bonjour Martine ! Thank you for stopping by with your thought on it being an aster .. it could very well be one since I have combed through some of the net for TALL asters ! haha
I will certainly let it bloom to see what is going to happen : ) Thanks !

Grace girl hello there ... I hope the haying is going better but it is so HOT out there and the humidity dreadful .. I feel terrible for people that have to work outside .. especially the farming community. Make sure to look after yourself VERY well with this weather ... lots of water girl !!

Jennifer girl it perplexes me so much it is driving me a bit crazy ... I never thought an aster would grow that tall but wow! that suggestion could be correct ... and the thought of it being lythrum from Eileen could also be correct ... I have to wait for it to bloom to make sure .. fingers crossed I can do that !!

Nadezda girl ! I loved your post on delphinium ! all your pictures were so pretty !
I am pretty sure it is not verbascum because the foliage is not right for that plant .. but I appreciate your input very much ... stay tuned to see what this is ?
