Thank you so much Skeeter (Tina too !)

Today has been full of surprises and one of the most wonderful ones has been my winning the "lottery" over at Skeeter's for her one year blogaversary .. the "saint" picked my name out of the pot, and you could have knocked me over with a feather when I found out .. I think I whined about not winning anything when it came to things like this and top it off with a border crossing hassle to boot .. what sane person wants to tangle with that, right ?
Well .. garden blogger buddies are a force to deal with when it comes to follow through .. I was in total awe of the airmail care Skeeter took not to mention the amazing care in bubble wrap .. I think this parcel could have been dropped at 20,000 feet and it would be totally unscathed !
Emma and Sophie can attest to that ... plus it seemed to smell very interesting to them , which is what cats love ? : ) Silly girls thought it was for them ??
Enclosed was a wonderful letter and such pretty pottery and linens !
I have a spot lined up on my kitchen wall for the plate and above the kitchen cupboards for the other pottery .. the linens will be kept spotless for "show" : ) .. good for the bread basket ?
Yes .. I had to carefully supervise the girls as they were intent on checking things out .. Sophie was especially keen on "where is the tea/coffee" ??. never mind where she thought the cookies would be !!

This was such a pleasant surprise today and I want to thank you Skeeter for going to such trouble and expense .. I appreciate it VERY much and wow ! I actually WON something !! : ) PS ... thank you Tina for letting me know when to watch out for it !

Hi Joy, I was shocked to see my name in your post title. Now my heart has calmed down I can type. Been a long day. Glad you got your gift. My friend Skeeter is one heck of a lady and we always follow thru here. It is important. Major problem with cross borders though-she may rethink that next time she does a give a away:) It is really beautiful. You enjoy each morning and think of her. She has her coffee and catches up on blogs and wanted to share. I am sure she'll be around in the morning. No more whining now:))) Everyone is going to remember you winning something now. Ha!

Congratulations! Such a pretty tea set. Your kitties just crack me up. The last picture has Sophie looking up like: "Who me? I didn't do anything." So innocent.

Wow! Just beautiful! Congrats, Joy. Isn't it funny how cats seem to need to lay on anything new? They just have to get right in the middle of it all! I had my one year blogaversary this week too! I've not been feeling well and the weather is nasty, so I kinda forgot about it!

Hi Cathy .. Thank you girl ! Yes the girls manage to get in the pictures quite a lot ? : )

Gail .. YES ! .. but I think after this experience they know now that cross border packages are a huge headache and cost. I feel a bit guilty with that .. I can't blame any of the girls now for us all sticking to inside our own borders for these sort of things ? LOL

Cindee girl ! Thank you and YES !! I am amazed with it all .. I finally won something : ) Skeeter is a doll .. the girls think so too and letting them have a good look is the only way or they would be at me all day ? LOL

Tina : ) that was how yesterday was for me too .. getting this wonderful parcel .. the deck crew WORKING !! pictures to come : )
YES ! I will think of you both every time I look at these sweet gifts. I certainly don't blame Skeeter for rethinking the cross border issues .. it really is too hard and expensive .. I appreciate her efforts a great deal : )
Put your heart back in your chest girl ! LOL

Hi Jen .. it certainly is and thank you ! : )

Jill, thank you girl ! That is SO Sophie all the time!.. LOL

Hello there Debbie .. I'm good for a long time now about winning ? LOL

Tessa ! Happy Blogaversary to you !! .. I'm sorry you aren't feeling well girl .. maybe you worked too hard with all of your little ones in the greenhouse ? .. we can run ourselves down fast in the first few weeks of gardening.
I have no clue what my blogaversary is .. it has been a few years since I started out alone on the net for my blog ! LOL

Joy, I am so glad you received the package and nothing was broken! I am also happy to see your kitties are enjoying the goodies as well. They are sure to smell the scent of my kitties on everything. lol As you know, cat hair gets on everything and when I send out a package to someone, I am always trying to keep the fur off the tape and out of the box. My Sheba kitty loves to jump in boxes and yes, she got into the box when my back was turned. I threaten to send her to Canada! Saint laughed but said no as she is daddy's little Queenie Bee...:-)

I dont understand why it took so long for the package to arrive as it was sent Priority which should not have taken so long. I mailed it on the Monday after drawing your name. Hum, cant help but wonder why it took so long, maybe held up in Customs for some reason. Oh well, it is there and that is all that matters now! I hope you do enjoy this little token of my Blogiversary Date!

Ops, forgot to say, I meant to email you once the package was in the mail but I had house guest and totally forgot. Sorry as I am usually more organized then that...

Hi Linda .. I am such a big KID when it comes to something like this : )
I was all smiles that day ! LOL

Hello gittan : ) my girls say Thank You ! they love being the center of attraction .. and a parcel is too much fun to leave alone .. it is a very sweet gift parcel for a blogaversary !

Hello there Linda.. thank you !
Yes, the girls approve big time : )

Hi there Martha .. thank you girl : )
My girls had a lot of fun posing while I was snapping away !

Hi Randy .. this is the first time I have ever won anything like this .. I bought lottery tickets the same day ?? LOL

Hey Skeeter ! .. no worries about cat hair girl .. we have never been without it ! LOL
It probably got held up at the border .. customs are really picky about these sort of things .. I know my friends in the UK wonder about it all too with how long things can take going both ways.
You were so kind and generous sharing your blogaversary girl : )
Thank you !!
