Shadow Shot Time

How does SST arrive so quickly ?  it just seems like I did this post, blinked, and here it is again ?
I wanted to do something of a Halloween theme but this has come up so quickly I have to scramble with a shot I caught a couple of days ago.
My "Charlie Brown Christmas Tree" and the deck light were screaming at me to have their picture taken because of their dark doubles .. that is my idea of calling a shadow .. "dark doubles" ? LOL
Be sure to click on the icon to see many more dark doubles from all over the world taken by my fellow "Shadow Shooters" ....

Joy, lovely crisp details in those dark doubles....

Is someone a Dexter fan?

The mostly black-and-white nature of this photo is offset by a few handfuls of green needles for a simply stunning effect. Well done!

Charlie Brown's tree may have been sparse, but the true beauty of his seasonal tree was not based on the baubles and jewels that may be heaped upon it. No, the few green needles offer a slimmed down look that compels us to admire the simple beauty of nature. Thus, your tree is not sparse but lovely too - and leaving a delicate shadow. Very nice!

This is such an unusual and amazing capture. I never would have thought to place my hand to catch a shadow. Very clever and very striking. The color vs the black and white against your hand make for such a neat picture. Great job. genie
