Letting Your Garden Go Wild

This is my "wild child " peony "Green Lotus"
You can see it is not your typical peony .. it truly is a bit wild looking.
My garden is rather in a state of wildness ... far from my usual neat freak state .. but I have to admit it is doing fine without my constant attention.
If I am lucky I am able to get to it once a week for a few hours.
So far it hasn't swallowed the house up, fingers crossed we can survive until I can truly work in it.
Mean while, I do have clematis vines sneaking up through the deck floor boards .. vines are amazing.
Gardens and perhaps gardeners ? can go wild and survive nicely ... thank goodness !

I can imagine the frustration you feel not being able to get out into the garden as much as you would like. Hang in there. The garden will await your attentions. This peony is gorgeous. Happy GBBD.

Miss your posts. Yes your garden survives without your constant care because it loves YOU(-: It is blooming right along without the daily work because of the years you did put into it.
Love your Peony. And how to you say that word? I have heard it pronounced several ways.(-:
Pee O Nee and Pee A Nee (-:

I hope you are better, and soon your garden will often see you.

Your wild child is a beauty! My peonies all bloomed at a time when I was so busy with family activities that I never got a chance to take a photo of them. Hope you are doing well, Joy!

Thank you all for stopping by and commenting so nicely : ) .. I appreciate it very much !
Things are still dicey for me .. I think I will have to just concede that this year, and gardening, both are too at odds for me .. but I think my garden will hang in, so will I ..
But thinking about next year already hoping to be more "into" the garden then.
I'm sorry I haven't visited you all .. trying to work on that some time .. but I think of you all ! Thanks again : )

What a lovely peony! The garden does carry on, but I like to think that it needs me! LoL!

You know what sweetie, I bet it's beautiful - you're a fantastic garden designer and have such impeccable taste. Do what you can but really - just enjoy that wild aspect and all the hard work you've put in to make it xxxxx

Found your blog and admire your wild peony. Also my garden has its wild corners. At the moment I struggle with all kinds of weed which went too high. So what - it has to wait until I am in the right mood for removing weed!
Greetings from Germany

Been far too long since I logged on~ I can imagine your frustration with not being able to be out in the garden, but trust me Joy, sometimes they know when to look after themselves while their caretakers look after themselves as well! Been a trying summer health-wise for me as well, but finally got a green light. Will email you later this week as I am on vacation!
